The Celt's Success: One part KG, one part Pierce, one part Rondo's blog.

[Ed's Note: In the long view of the sports media industry, it's still a relatively new concept that athletes, agents, executives and yes, mascots, could circumvent us and tell their own stories…instantly, on blogs. We say, fantastic—but we're going to cover what they're writing.]

Baron Davis: BoomDizzle Gets His Hunter S. Thompson on at the Indy 500

Gonzo journalism is back in this fast and furious Indy 500 recap:

"The pace cars are circling…and I can feel the rush. The energy on the track is amazing I feel like I am about to play a game! I couldn't imagine driving a car at 200mph, well maybe 100mph in the Aston! I think T.Scheckter has a great chance to win today. That lady from Dancing with The Stars sung the National Anthem, Juliana Huff, I think her name is, she's dope. Man, Scheck is holding his own out there staying in the top 5 for most of the race at this point. I'm down in the pit now! Ringside feeling real bossy. Yo, for the record, the pit crews are monsters, I wish I could get my tires and fuel that quick, I wouldn't be late to anything."

It's a good wrap, but Baron isn't where a fellow point guard is.

Rajon Rondo: Hello, Finals!

"First of all, I just want to give a big THANK YOU to all of the fans out there," he writes. "It is really nice to read all of your comments and to know that we have so much support. Without our fans, we would not be where we are. THANK YOU AGAIN.

"Now, the NBA FINALS! I can not even express how we all felt after we won Game 6. It was simply an amazing feeling. I was overwhelmed...just crazy happy. It is only my second year in the league, and I'm going to the NBA Finals. I know that the vets like P.J., Ray, Paul, KG, etc were geeked. Knowing that there are only 2 teams left and that we are one of them is hard to grasp. I'm just so glad that we have this opportunity. The Finals start Thursday, so now I'm just relaxing and resting up. Over the next few days, I will be continuing my preparation for the game."

Todd Yoder: Be My Tiny Dancer

Fellow 'Skins TE Todd Yoder guest blogs with a Chris Cooley Wedding Dance Report:

"This article is dedicated to the wedding dance floor," he writes. "That simple piece of hardwood brings out the passion in all who cross her on that wedding night. For the bride and groom it starts the fire for the first night of their new union. For the older people in the crowd maybe it might rekindle a spark from times past. For all the single people it is their chance to impress someone special leading to a hookup that all weddings are famous for. The mixing of good music with liquid courage brings out the dancer in all of us.

"You have to love the guy willing to try to do the worm, or the moon walk, maybe the running man. The dance moves themselves are priceless; Thriller, the Robot, break dancing backspin, the shopping cart, the sprinkler, the lawn mover, M.C. Hammer slide, and the list goes on and on. My personal favorite, which I performed at the wedding after the J.D. kicked in, 'the motorcycle pickup'. It's an advanced move which requires two people. The first person, aka the rider, must start up his hog and cruise it around the dance floor looking for that special someone, aka the pickup person, who hopefully is a hot lady looking to jump on and cruise around with you. All these moves are classics in the annuls of dance history. But don't overlook that occasional slow dance for that chance to snuggle up tight. For me the night ended great with my beautiful wife extremely impressed by my powers of dance."

Powers of dance? Careful fella, that's Michael Flatley territory.

Curtis Granderson: Player Necklace Mystery Revealed

Ever wonder what those large hoops were around players' necks? Ok, maybe it was just me.

"A lot of people always ask me about the necklaces I wear when I'm playing," he writes. "This is not a product endorsement, just clarification about a question I get asked all the time. They are called Phiten necklaces, and I want to correct people by saying they are not magnets. The Phiten necklaces and products are made with liquid titanium (actually a water soluble form of titanium) that is infused into the material. They also make bracelets, T-shirts, tape, lotion, compression shorts, etc., and the titanium is infused into all of them."

I'm pretty sure those titanium compression shorts belong to Iron Man. Or Serena Williams.

Robin Lopez: Getting Draft-y

The former Stanford big man on why he and his brother decided to go pro:

"It wasn't necessarily that both of us would come out," he writes. "We just felt our stock was as high as it was going to get. We knew we could still benefit from the Stanford education; we could take courses over the summer, we could take online courses. We felt we could get the best of both worlds. But I've taken this quarter off to focus on preparing for the draft.

"There wasn't one moment I realized I'd declare. During the season, it was just a gradual development. Both sides—staying in school and leaving—were pushing, but it was a gradual slide toward leaving."

Alyssa Milano: Stress Reduction

"My stress reliever is usually baseball," she writes. "In fact, sometimes when I can't sleep because my mind is racing, I close my eyes and think about being at the stadium. I create game-winning situations. I think of the sound of the bat cracking. And you know what? It usually works. Ah baseball, I can never be mad at you."

Mike Mason: Drinks, Girls and Guitar

"We had a show in the Northern Territory Saturday night, then went straight to the after party where there was an awesome cover band and some decent chicks," he writes. "In typical Mason form I got buzzed and zoned in on the guitar player and watched him shred and totally spaced out on the girls, my mom would be so proud!!

"From there we had an early lobby call to hop on a greyhound and take a 22 hour trip down to Mt. Isa, QLD for our next show which is actually on a Wednesday. Now one might ask what we do with 22 hrs on a bus…well it's simple, we had some adult beverages, wore cool outfits so we could laugh at each other, and told a bunch of cool stories, which might be too graphic for this site haha!!

"And have no fear I know I talk about drinking a lot in my blogs but when I don't party I usually am doing 10 pushups and 15 sit-ups a week in my room, so I'm staying fit!!"

Whoa, whoa: 10 pushups and 15 sit-up a week? Don't overdo it, Mike.

Darren McFadden: House Hunting

If you have any advice on where to set up shop in the Oakland area, Darren McFadden would like your input:

"I've been looking in Pleasanton, Oakland Hills, Alameda," he writes. "Coming from the South the places are a lot smaller than I'm used to, but don't get me wrong I'm not looking for anything big. I want to start small, something with decent space but not too big. I don't do much cooking and most of these places that I'm seeing don't have yards. The most important thing for me is proximity. I want to be close to work so I need to find a nice spot that's not too far out.

"If you have any ideas let me know."

If he's asking, we're suggesting he stays far, far away from this guy.

Never want to be too close to your fans.
