U.S. OPEN PREVIEW

The only thing that could make this view more beautiful is a 5 stroke lead on Tiger.
The U.S. Open starts tomorrow (10 am PDT on ESPN) at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego and we'll see two guys that know the course perhaps better than anybody— Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson—battle it out for not only the top spot on the tour, but bragging rights on the course they've been playing since they were kids. (And to make matters more intersting, Tiger has been out of the game since April following knee surgery, and it's not quite sure how he'll play on his new knee.) Thus we give you with this porfolio of stories about the course and the upcoming battle from the current issue of ESPN The Magazine.
