Not many people make Stu starstruck …
SUZY [New York City]
Barack Obama said recently that he never watches CNN or MSNBC when he's campaigning, but he does watch SportsCenter regularly. How does it feel to know you're being watched by the next president of the United States?
Suzy, when I met Obama last year, he walked up to me, shook my hand and said, "You and I have spent many evenings together." I don't get starstruck often, but at that moment I felt the way I did at a Prince concert three years ago, when, in the middle of a song, Prince walked to the edge of the stage and pointed directly at me. Grown men aren't supposed to feel like OMG! OMG! OMG! But when he did that, I got weak in the knees. And when Obama told me he watches SC, it was exactly the same. I am proud of the senator's accomplishments, and I'm sure he will change the world for the better.
RAFAEL [Charlottesville, Va.]
Imagine you have qualified for the U.S. Open. Whom do you want in your grouping on Thursday, and then on Sunday, when you tee off leading by one stroke?
On Thursday, I want Tiger, Woody Austin (because I played with him in my first celebrity pro-am) and (this is fantasy, so I'll make it a foursome) anybody I can beat, because Woody is beating me by 20 strokes and Tiger is kicking my butt by 30. As for Sunday, I want the best, so I still want Tiger. But even in a fantasy—me with a one-stroke lead??? Stop teasing me.
LEE [Oak Park, Ill.]
It seems as if as soon as Roger Clemens got to 300 wins, we kept hearing he might be the greatest pitcher of all time. Why doesn't Greg Maddux get the same buzz?
I think power pitchers tend to get more attention. Having said that, I still think Maddux has gotten his due. Ask anyone who follows baseball closely, and they will tell you Maddux is a genius on the mound and without doubt one of the best ever.

Kimbo's no joke, but he's not the future of MMA.
MIKE [Simpsonville, S.C.]
What do you think of Kimbo Slice? Is he the future of MMA or a big joke?
I certainly don't think he's a big joke, but I don't think he by himself can be the future of MMA. With more training he will be a very good heavyweight. He probably punches harder than any of his opponents, but others have better wrestling skills and a better ground-and-pound game. Kimbo needs experience, and he is getting that now.
LENNY [Cherry Hill, N.J.]
What do you think about having golf in the Olympics, Stu?
With the Ryder Cup, the Presidents Cup and the women's Solheim Cup, I don't see the need. Besides, the Olympic schedule could conflict with the PGA Championship, so I don't see it happening.
