HOFSTRA FOOTBALL AND NFL TIES
Don't think Hofstra football is a powerhouse? It's no LSU, sure, but in the last few years it's produced stunning late-round success story Marques Colston, Lions WR Devale Ellis, and Rams WR Shaine Smith. All three are training up there this summer, and they offered us a sneak peek at their regimen and lifestyles before training camps get going again. In the words of Ellis: "We decided to stay at Hofstra to remind us of the grind it took to get to the highest level of football. It also allows us to be in an environment where we can keep an eye on each other and be accountable for one another…the hardest part about the off-season is not actually working out, but staying out of trouble and being disciplined enough to start and finish each day the right way."
