CLIP REEL: LET'S TALK HEISMAN

"Who will hold me in their loving arms come December?"

Discussion with friend earlier in the summer: "What are we doing August 30th?" Typical mid-to-late 20s reply: "My expectation is that I have a wedding that weekend." Logic of the question: it's the first Saturday of college football, a day that can make grown men behave like children and Shep Smith hop a plane to Oxford. We don't personally think the Heisman is the biggest individual award in the sports universe (limited correlation to pro success, naitch), but with August 30th now being—well, tomorrow—we thought we'd take a look at some contenders.

TIM TEBOW
How did he spend his summer?
Gotta start with the defending champ.
Another good look at his accomplishments.
"The Kiss."
He's going to be in our preview issue (duh).
The invariable Chuck Norris comparison.
An All-Access look at Tebow in NYC for the Heisman ceremony last year.

CHRIS "BEANIE" WELLS
Some Buckeye fan already made a promo video for his Heisman campaign.
Nice mix of highlights. This guy kills Michigan.
His 65 yard run against LSU.
The 52 yard dash against Michigan.
Another ridiculous highlight video.
We'll add his Wiki for good measure.

PAT WHITE
Dude's legit.
He's also humorous.

NOEL DEVINE
Dude's also legit.
He destroyed Maryland last year.
Come to think of it, he destroyed a lot of people.
We like this highlight video because it's set to Bubba Sparxx.
He did a video with us too.

CHASE DANIEL
We love Chase Daniel.
ESPN feature on him.
He was in NYC last year for the Heisman, remember?
He's pretty filthy, all things considered.

TODD REESING
People don't give Reesing enough credit.
Hysterical Gameday feature on the kid.
OK, this is awkward.
Is Kansas really that good? Yes.

SAM BRADFORD
If Oklahoma stays good this year (they should), this guy will be in the mix.
He's American Indian, which is awesome.
Nine minute recap of his frosh season.
Lee Corso was ranking him in his Top 5 Heisman contenders LAST YEAR.

MICHAEL CRABTREE
Dude may be the best receiver in America.
He could also be a product of the system that Mike Leach has in place.
Tell ya this much: it's time to Crank that Crabtree.
Feldman's feature on him.

KNOWSHOWN MORENO
Did we save the best for last? Maybe.
Herschel loves him, and that's big.
Shredding Auburn here.
Shredding Florida here.
Putting up on Bama.
Crank that Moreno.
Magazine preview issue feature on him.

And because we're informed, here's one clip of Jarrett Dillard.
