THE WEEK THAT WAS ...
DEMONSTRATIVE

Can you be more demonstrative? (Hey, dude earned it.)
There was a lot of gushing going on this week. It started off with people gushing about how great the Beijing Olympics were. Then people were gushing about replay in baseball. Then Bill Clinton did some obligatory gushing. There was more gushing then a gusher. That's even before a new lady came on the Republican scene. Wha?
We chronicle some highlights here.
We had to gush about the Olympics.
It's not gushing, but it's blushing when Dinara Safina learns to cook and gets salty.
It's pure demonstration when our applicants for "Season in the Stands" were announced.
When Feldman and Fleming face off in an NFL vs. NCAA argument, it's a demonstration in angst.
The Mag puts our collectively absurd NFL knowledge on display.
A Wikipedia founder a Forrest Gump writer and a Fridge showed off some knowledge.
Rick Reilly fired up some courtroom moxy, as in, time to sue the juicers!
And some of most demonstrative people in sports history—they were surly too!—were recognized.
All in all, we feel overwhelmed.
