Easy, fella.

WHEN IT COMES TO THE BEST CAT MASCOTS IN COLLEGE, WE'LL GO WITH THE LSU TIGER

[Ed's note: Not sure what All-World Power Rankings is? Please click here.]

The Broadway musical Cats opened today back in '82. It ultimately closed in 2000, but it remains one of the most influential modern musicals. Since cats are a fairly influential part of the college mascot thing (think lions, tigers, bobcats, etc), we decided to rank the best ones. We've already done a similar Rankings on dog mascots. Number one in that case—UGA—was a little more clear cut.

TOP 5
RANK (YESTERDAY) WHAT WHY
1 (68) MIKE THE TIGER (LSU) In Mike VI's first year as the mascot, LSU went out and won the entire BCS. Nice. Little known-fact: they used the tiger to scare Les Miles into staying. We're kidding. Seriously, though, the thing is a little terrifying: check out the real audio on its website (yes, a tiger has a website).
2 (62) THE PRINCETON TIGER The mascot's a lil' goofy-looking, but it was the first major collegiate mascot. That's gotta count for something.
3 (79) WILBUR AND WILMA WILDCAT (UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA) They're married. How cool is that? Family values, in this day and age?
4 (92) MINGUS (BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC) It's a jazz cat. The friggin' mascot is wearing a fedora! Ha.
5 (87) ALL THE KENTUCKY MASCOTS This should be higher, just because of how much the school means to college basketball. Thing is, we love Mingus so much. UK actually has three mascots: two costumed ones and a live one. All the info you need is here.

HONORABLE MENTION
RANK (YESTERDAY) WHAT WHY
82 (139) POWERCAT (PACIFIC) The thing is absolutely jacked.
103 (1,870) WALDO THE WILDCAT (WEBER STATE) Just watch this.

RISING AND FALLING
MOVEMENT WHAT
THE NITTANY LION (They seem like they might be for real this year.)
POUNCER FROM MEMPHIS (How did you let that game against the Kansas Jayhawks get away? You're some kind of tiger thing, aren't you?)
