Whoa, that's an awesome Carrot Top costume.
Jocks blogs. We report. (You decide.)
Shaun White: Halloween Costume Ideas.
Shaun sends a quick mobile post in and his fans respond.
Shaun White: "Boo! Almost Halloween … what should I be!"
The peanut gallery:
"Tom Cruise, Risky Business."
"You should be Carrot Top."
"You should be a carrot!"
"I think you could be a werewolf because you hair looks untamed. Do you know that wolves are actually majestic creatures?"
Make sure to keep your distance from that last fan—anyone locked up on wolves would not be in my Fave5.
Nick Barnett: Ready for the Titans
Packer 'backer Nick Barnett is ready for the Titans to remember the Packers:
"With two very talented running backs and a very feisty and physical line, we will have to be ready to exceed the intensity, which should not be a problem," he writes. "I feel that we are up to the challenge and we are ready for a dog fight! Early in the year we weren't very stout in the run game and we are looking for a chance against a team of this caliber to get back on pace. It won't be a cake walk, but that's why we practice the way we do. We do the extra things to be prepared."
Dick Vitale: Big Time book signing, Baby!
Dickie V is writing books, and then signing them—anything to pass time till the college hoops season starts:
"I had a great time visiting the University of South Florida bookstore in Tampa for a book signing," he writes. "The signing was for my new coffee table book, Fabulous 50 Players and Moments in College Basketball. We had a terrific turn out and it was great to be around some of the fans again. The start of the season is right around the corner and being on the campus got me so excited for hoops season to begin!"
Congrats on the coffee table book, Dickie V! But does your book do anything else?
Merril Hodge: Dallas Offense Needs to Cowboy Up
Merril weighs in on the sputtering Dallas O:
"This offense has spiraled downward so fast without Tony Romo and Felix Jones," he writes. "In fact, I just finished watching the tape of Cowboys vs. Bucs, and the Cowboy offense is Marion Barber breaking tackles. If Marion did not break tackles and make things happen, they would have no offense."
They don't call him 'Marion the Barbarian' for nothing.
David Beckham: Weighing in on the AC Milan Loan
"One of the reasons I want to train and play in Milan for a few months is the fact that the MLS season doesn't run as long as the European season and having played most of my career in Europe, my body has been trained and geared not to have that amount of time off," he writes. "Obviously, I will be honored to be given the chance to train and play with the likes of Ronaldinho and Kaka, but it also gives me the chance to keep my fitness up and carry that on for when I come back to the Galaxy for the new MLS season."
Fitness: check. Prestige: check. But more importantly, it allows Posh to shop her heart out in Milan.
