Shaq is Twittering, people.

"Wall-E? Yeah, that dude is hilarious."

Shaq is Twittering. And it's really him. I wonder what kind of mobile text pad the big guy is using, or, strike that, able to use. I bet these people could hook him up with a Shaq-sized device.

Here are a couple of quick hits leading up to the big Laker game last night:

"I need help subway or schlotsskys for lunch, big game tonite."

"On my way 2 da arena. I feel like the main charachter n da movie 300"

"Just saw the the great Phil Jackson, gave him a kiss on da cheek"

Rasheed Wallace has got names and names and names. 'Sheed plays the nickname association game, revealing the 'Sheed-given monikers of his Piston teammates.

A few of our favorites:
Rip Hamilton: Hollywood Hamilton, "Skinny as I don't know what."
Rodney Stuckey: Young 50, aka Curtis Jackson Jr., "He looks just like Fiddy."
Jason Maxiell: Darkness, "A modern day Charles Barkley."

Colin Doyle is California living, Piston watching, and Stealth witholding

"Just settled in for the Pistons/Celtics game and it looks like my Pistons have some work to do to be able to hang with the big dawgs!" he writes. "I still like the look of the Pistons, but they need to get a big man at the trade deadline and we will be fine.

"I have been in California all week working with the Stealth on some really big ideas for the upcoming season. I'll have to wait to tell you all what we are looking to set up, but you will be the first to hear when we get them in place."

Todd Bozeman, head men's hoops coach at Morgan State, does not like the blend. But this isn't Starbucks, this is his team, and he's got to sort it out.

"Ah, the frustrations of blending new players into the system!" he writes. "We lost to Manhattan 61-60 last night (we were up 1 with 15 seconds left and they hit a shot with 5 seconds left) and like always it feels worst the next day! Not taking anything away from the teams we've played but we just are sloppy at times and it's mostly coming from the bench. Lazy passes, forgetting plays or assignments and lack of concentration. Now, I know that it's early in the season and things take time but…Damn!"

It's not early in the season for Pat Knight's Red Raiders. Take a page from their playbook, Coach.

Eric Wright is a tackling ma-chine, and also well acquainted to the target that he tackled repeatedly on MNF.

"Marshawn Lynch is a beast and I have been playing against him since High School, so I am used to tackling him and maybe that is why I led the team in tackling," he writes. "That dude does not go down easy but it was fun playing against someone I basically have been playing against my whole life. I was just running around trying to make things happen during the game and Marshawn more times than not was my destination."

Pierre Thomas enjoys the Chiefs' hospitality, and is even excited for Reggie Subway's return

"I told you all in my last post that I had a good game before in Kansas City and that I hoped to keep that rolling and low and behold I did," he writes.

"I got 20 touches in the KC game and I came away with 144 total yards and a touchdown. Not to say that I am the only one in the world that could have posted those numbers, but getting the chance to get into the flow of the game definitely creates a better opportunity to be successful.

"It looks like we are going to get Reggie back this week and that will be great for our offense. He makes things happen on offense and even in special teams so everyone is excited to get him back and hopefully it will be this week."

I'd say 144 yards and a score is Pierre making things happen. Let Reggie continue to rehab and kick it with Kim, unless of course, you don't play the Chiefs every week. Good talk.
