Bring it home, sir.

Saturday's gonna be a pretty good sports day—not the best sports day of the year or anything, but decent—so take a little tour through it with us, via ESPN The Magazine content, won'tcha? Here's a little bit of breaking news for ya: Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith will be the For Love Or The Game video subject on Monday.

Roll outta bed Saturday and start working on your novel. For serious. Your life needs purpose! At 1pm, lock in for the ACC Championship Game: BC vs. Virginia Tech. Second year in a row it's been that, which no one saw coming. (So sad about Clemson.) Read this to prepare yourself a bit.

This'll lead you to the Granddady of Saturday Afternoon, Alabama vs. Florida for the SEC Title and a spot in Miami. Read this on Nick Saban, then this by Winston Groom, the author of Forrest Gump. Cool. Now here's a video about Tim Tebow's Summer of 2008. If you feel like grousing about the BCS, read this then this. If you want to know the connection between this game and Ludacris, go right here. (And watch this.)

By the end of that game, you'll know 1/2 of the BCS Title game (in all likelihood). If Oklahoma can do their part, you'll know the other half by the end of the Big 12 Championship (8pm, ABC). Tons of talk about Oklahoma the last few weeks, so we'll just direct you here. Want the pulse of Norman's campus? Glad ya asked.

If that game becomes a woodshedding—it could—we recommend flipping over to Wisconsin vs. Marquette in college hoops at 9:30 on ESPNU. They always play tight. Watch this, too. (Vermont plays Pittsburgh earlier in the day. Magazine Executive Editor Neil Fine is a big Catamounts fan.)

Another option: Michael Beasley vs. Kevin Durant in a showcase of the bond of Prince George's County.

Boxing's not dead. End your Saturday with De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao. Our man Ryan Hockensmith has you covered, as you'd expect.

Sleep a little late on Sunday, take the wife to brunch, go easy on the mimosas (it can get ugly), maybe catch the soon-to-be-Best Picture Slumdog Millionaire on the way back, and be ready for a few sporty things in the afternoon: Matt Ryan is our man (Clemmons is our girl, too), and he leads the could-they-make-the-playoffs Birds against the Saints. The big game of the day is Steelers/Cowboys; we mainly recommend reading this because it's extremely informative as to the current state of the NFL. For that Redskins tilt at night, we recommend this.

Sunday night? Take in the BCS matchups, complain about them, openly discuss Lane Kiffin's wife, and call it a weekend. We're glad to help.
