You wouldn't know just from looking, but Bogut feels like his brain is trying to escape right now.
Jocks blog. We report. You decide.
Andrew Bogut has a Headache
The Bucks' big man recently came out of a game with a headache. What a weakling, right? Wrong:
"A Flu virus had me talking like a frog, never fun," he writes. "Along with that during the game against Chicago I took a hit to the head which triggered a migraine. I was forced to leave the game. Now a lot of people think, wow he left the game with only a headache. I would trade a headache every day for a month, if it would mean I wouldn't get a Migraine for that year. My symptoms are crazy, I basically lose vision out of my left eye, and everything becomes blurry. One side of my body goes completely numb, like pins and needles. As soon I feel the symptoms coming on I have to give myself a needle (shot) in the leg. Sometimes if I get the medicine in quick enough the migraine isn't as bad, but if it's too late, it's hell. All I can then try to do is get to a dark quiet room and just ride it out. Usually the Migraine lasts from anywhere up to 5 hours."
Yeesh, this sounds pretty awful.
Rinku is not BABEWATCHING
The recent Pittsburgh Pirates signee is not swayed by the women of the West:
"One very, very bad thing about the news is that they say I on the BABEWATCH," he writes. "This not true. i not watching girls. i only pitching, training, eat, watch baseball/Movies and sleep. American women very dangerous and very crazy. I like only Indian woman. Dinesh and JB, Sir have been harrassing me about this BABEWATCH. I do not like the BABEWATCH."
Did he mention he's not on the BABEWATCH? Because he's not on the BABEWATCH.
Ron Artest, a Camera and a Bed
Ron Artest is back with another video blog & this time from his bed.
The highlights:
- Shoutouts to just about everyone in the world.
- His love for rapper Scarface, because he doesn't do "cookie cutter, peanut and jelly songs."
- He wants to bury the word "relevant."
There's a lot of other stuff about rap and hip hop music. If you're looking for Artest to talk about hoops here, you're in the wrong spot.
Jeff Gordon Welcomes You to the Good Life
With the year over, the face of NASCAR is finding time to get out on the town:
"Ingrid and I just went to a couple of cool events together over the past week," he writes. "Men's Vogue was hosting sort of a premiere in New York City for a new movie called "Australia" with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. Elton John was actually playing at the event and it was very small and private, so it was pretty cool to see him perform like that. Down in Miami, there's a friend of ours who owns a bunch of different hotels and properties and the opening of the Fontainebleau, so we enjoyed that along with the Victoria's Secret fashion show. One of Ingrid's good friends works for Victoria's Secret, so I got to tag along for the night."
Jeff Gordon, the only man on Earth who can get away with "tagging along with his wife" to a Victoria's Secret fashion show.
Annika Sorenstam is Designing All Over the World
The golfer is jetsetting all across the globe these days, getting her design on:
"After three wonderful days at Shreyas retreat in India, I have now arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia," she writes. "I am here for a golf course design visit. This project is called Mines - Golf City and the owner is Mr. Tan Sri Lee, who also hosted the first Women's World Cup a few years ago.
"After arriving on a red-eye this morning, we worked all day and I have a gala dinner this evening. During the next 36 hours I will visit the site by helicopter, walk the land, and go over drawings and the layout."
Running Rudy through Google Translator
Trailblazer's guard Rudy Fernandez has been blogging up a storm lately in his native Spanish tongue. A Google translated excerpt from Saturday's entry:
"Two days later traveled to New York," he writes. "As I said last week, had never been before. It is a city that impressed me, and at this time of year, just before Christmas, the city was beautiful. The Madison Square Garden, who say the stadium's most famous and important in the world, also impressed me. But even more incredible was the backing of many Spaniards who came to see us, Sergio Rodriguez and me."
Eh, good enough.
