The NEXT: Step in the Manning vs. Manning Debate
Let's just start hashing this thing out, shall we?

This debate has seemingly been around forever, but intensified in the last 18 months: who do you want under center, Peyton or Eli? Let's discuss, briefly: the Colts are 117-59 during the regular season in the Manning Era and basically make the Dance every year; once there, they are 7-8. Granted, they have a Super Bowl win and a huge comeback against the Patriots in the AFC Title Game that same year. Eli: less of a body of work, but 42-29 as a starter, plus 4-2 in the postseason. That includes the ridiculous run last season (Manning doesn't get nearly enough credit for his escape role in the Tyree play, as a side note). If the Giants do win the Super Bowl this year (big "if," because the field is stacked on both sides), do you put Eli above Peyton, or do Peyton's mechanics and MVP awards still keep him at the top of the field? One thing's for sure: here might be the definitive Manning brothers article.
