The NEXT: Coaching Wife To Factor In Job Decisions
Mark Gottfried's wife: will it be an issue when he's up for a gig next?

"Married? Well, of course I am..."
Mark Gottfried resigned after 11 seasons at Alabama. (Good piece by Andy Katz on where 'Bama should go from here.) Here's what we're wondering, honestly: Gottfried is a good coach (if Ronald Steele was healthier, that team woulda done more things) and a good recruiter (he was under Jim Harrick at UCLA for years. He'll probably get floated another gig at some point, right? If he does: is his wife's reported altercation with a radio host a couple of years back going to be something that an AD/University President takes into account? (Similarly, do you evaluate Andy Kennedy in the context of his wife?)
