Now on ESPN Insider: Keith Law's MLB Draft Blog
Simply put, Keith Law might know more about assessing baseball talent than 99.9 percent of America. Seems a good blog to follow, right?

This is where MOST young-people-excelling-at-baseball news takes place. Keith Law knows more, though.
We have a couple of hardcore baseball fan friends. One of 'em is a big Pittsburgh Pirates guy, which we can only assume is a dying breed. The dude is obsessed with burgeoning talent in a way that might seem unhealthy to the outside world. The other kid is a big Orioles guy—again, you don't see many of 'em outside the Beltway these days. Here's the point we're making: we've seen each of these guys waste money on PPV movies, Kate Hudson flicks, Sierra Nevada drafts, and Adam Sandler downloads. We want to recommend to each that they sign up for ESPN Insider and start bookmarking Keith Law's new MLB Draft blog. (
) The thing is flat out incredible.
From today (2-23-09): "Loyola Marymount first baseman Ryan Wheeler went 4-for-7 in Sunday's double-header and is now 6-for-12 with two doubles a triple and four walks on the season. The left-handed hitting Wheeler has yet to strike out in 19 plate appearances." Loyola Marymount first basemen! WOW! Go here to be an Insider, will ya?
