"Well done chaps! Let's go listen to Luniz's 'I Got Five On It' now!"

A huge—no, massive—victory for Hull City on Wednesday. My friend Charlie Mullan of the Hull Daily Mail hit me up on Facebook with a message.

Jeff, it's official, the Bradley Curse is dead! For the first time since you came over to these shores in December, Hull City have won a Premier League game.

The Tiger Nation celebrated team's first win in 12 league games by downing hugely over-priced bottles of lager in the posh surroundings of Kings Road, West London.

If only City could play all their games in London. A return of 10 points from a possible 15 in the capital may lead to plans to relocate the KC Stadium to the banks of the Thames.

Getting a win lately has been like pushing water uphill with a fork, but Phil Brown got the basics right. Kept it tight at the back, managed a second successive clean sheet and up popped Manucho—the 2009 version of Manchester united loanee Fraizer Campbell—who stabbed the ball home from close range late in the match. Finally a winner.

City aren't out of the woods just yet, but with Newcastle, Portsmouth and Stoke still to come to the KC Stadium they have the ideal opportunity to secure their survival. Maybe City should play those games in London.

I don't believe in curses, but just to be on the safe side Jeff, it's best you stay away until May 25.
