The Week That Was ... Penultimate
As in, "next to the last."

This is us, all next week. It's a brave new digital world, friends.
As of now, the plan is this: at the end of next week, this here website will merge with ESPN Insider, offering you premium-level content behind the Worldwide Leader's pay wall. (And a bunch of fan perks.) If you're unsure why to sign up for Insider, it's pretty simple: you learn more, and get more, than a regular ESPN visitor and you basically have to give up one cup of coffee (or beer) per month to afford it. Easy. Next week, we'll roll out some of the best ESPN The Magazine content we've had since the day after the Giants/Pats Super Bowl (which is when we launched), so come on back each day if ya enjoyed some of our stuff. Penultimate seemed a good recap word for this week, but the content—"CONTENT IS KING!"—presses onward, forever and always. Here's a look at this week's best.
