Roy Williams was fairly fired up during this game.
Roy Williams has one NCAA title as a head coach: in '05, with that Sean May/Marvin Williams/Rashad McCants/Raymond Felton team. They were awesome, to be sure, but some people think they should never have made it to that title game vs. Illinois: see, in the Sweet 16 that year, 'Nova played 'em about as close as you can play a No. 1 seed, with the game coming down to what some think was a bogus traveling call. The squads are vastly different—most of the dudes in that game are playing in the Association now—but the coaches do remain the same, and let us be the first to say it: this could be called "Jay Wright's revenge game."
