"All dressed up in love," indeed. Gawd, will you talk about outkicking your coverage?
You want a bewildering money discussion, outside of sports? Here's one: in the summer of 2010, a second Sex and the City movie will be released. Three of the girls are now married. There's almost no arc left for them. C'mon, right? It will make tens of millions of dollars, and lines will stretch around the block on Opening Night. There is absolutely no doubt about these facts. Life, and people's movie-attending habits, are weird. But hey, if we had to describe this past week of ESPN The Magazine and Insider content, we gotta nod to the first SATC flick: "all dressed up in love." (It's the song over the end.) You want to know what we mean, insofar as we know what we're talking about? Check it out:
(1) This is Rick Reilly's new column, on the Diamondbacks giving back to fans.
(2) This is Bill Simmons' new column, on the overlap between Mike Tyson and A-Rod.
(3) A lot of people apparently read this, which is cool: what's the best commercial Tiger Woods has ever been in?
(4) Ric Bucher on how the OKC Thunder will become a playoff team in 2010.
(5) Hey, are the Sharks going to choke again?
(6) The caption on this is epic.
