The NHL's Saving Series: Ovechkin vs. Crosby
This one could be pretty sweet - for fans and for the league.

This won't be as friendly as this pic in a hot second.
Completely obvious: it's pretty cool that the Caps and Penguins are icing in Round II. Crosby vs. Ovechkin is going to be fun, 'specially because it appears they don't really like each other (examples here and here). We don't want to say the whole "league-saving series" thing, but look at the other potential playoff matchups the rest of the way: Red Wings vs. Blackhawks as the West Finals has some panache, and Wings vs. Penguins II would be cool, if only for the Gretzky/Crosby "lost the first time out" angle. But Caps/Penguins is the closest thing to a show-stopping series the NHL has remaining in these playoffs. Let's get it on.
