Well, this just got awkward.
In that vein, it's a good thing we're working hand-in-hand, with Insider to bring you pieces like this, which discusses the National League and what we can project from the first 30 days. Of course, as it notes, most projection systems wait until the magical 48th day to be able to line up the start of the season with prevailing historical trends -- cue the Pirates: we have to be good for 48 days?! -- but the folks at Baseball Prospectus who educamate us on a lot of this can deal with that fact and still bring some good stuff. Check it out.
