The Week That Was ... Valedictory
It means farewell, yo.

Goodbye, Super Chocolate Bear.
There were adieus all around this week. Manny Ramirez said goodbye to goodwill from baseball fans (the sentiment of this song is suddenly relevant again). The Cavs bid farewell to the Hawks' hopes of an Eastern Conference Final appearance. "Scrubs" said arrivaderci after 8 seasons of bromance at its finest. And, this being my last day as an intern at the Mag, I say goodbye too.
Working at a sports magazine and website is rarely dull. Case in point? When the Manny story broke yesterday, the office spent a good half hour thinking what the newspaper headlines would be for the story (the New York Post's "Girlie Manny" was nothing compared to some of the gems tossed around by the Mag folk). In nine months here, there were a lot of cool things I got to write about. Some not-so-creative ideas that never quite made it online. A lot of Family Guy clips that I tried to sneak in to everything I posted (why break tradition?) And no internship would be complete without a few Office Space moments.
What's good for relieving office supply frustration (and something no one should say goodbye too)? Mag.com content of course.
Online gambling legalized? Interesting.
