BCS Edition: Where Are They Now?

Seen here with Michael Huff, Mack Brown and Vince Young helped propel Texas to a BCS win for the ages in 2006.

No. 1 Florida State (13-0) takes on No. 2 Auburn (12-1) tonight in the VIZIO BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The Seminoles are hoping to become the first non-SEC team to win the national title since Texas in 2005. The Longhorns' 41-38 victory over USC at the Rose Bowl marked head coach Mack Brown’s lone NCAA championship at the school. He resigned at the end of the 2013 season and coached his final game at the Alamo Bowl last month. The hero and MVP of the 2006 game, quarterback Vince Young, scored a touchdown on fourth down in the final minute and had 467 total yards. That spring, Young was taken third overall in the NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. After an impressive rookie season in which he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year and a sophomore campaign that resulted in a playoff berth, Young ultimately struggled in Nashville. He was released by the team in 2011 and has since made brief stops in Philadelphia, Buffalo and Green Bay. He was not on a regular-season roster during the 2013 season. While both Brown and Young are out of football, at least temporarily, they will always be remembered for their win in one of the best title games in college football history.
