After putting up a triple-double against Boston College on Sunday, Chelsea Gray set a school record with 15 assists against Clemson on Thursday. Haley Peters chats her up.
Duke women's basketball faced so many adversities this year; nonetheless, it made our team stronger than ever. Here's a big shout out to our seniors, Shay Selby and Kathleen Scheer. They have gone through so much during their four years at Duke, and I am happy that I was able to be with them for two great years.
They brought so much leadership and joy to this team, too much to even explain. Shay and Leener will definitely be missed.
On Saturday night, we came to play, we refused to lose. We got solid play from the whole team and everyone brought energy.
But the Sweet 16 is done and now it is time for the Elite Eight! Duke has not been to the Final Four since 2006 and it is now time to take that next step.
One benefit to making the cross-country trip to Fresno, Calif., for regional competition in the NCAA women's tournament? A trip to In-N-Out.

Duke is headed to the Sweet 16! It was a great game for Duke last night. We came out with the mind-set that we were going to make a statement. We showed that we are able to adapt to adversity any time, any place, anywhere. The adversities included the fact that the arena in Nashville was about 90 degrees, and we were on Vanderbilts home floor.
Chelsea Gray and Duke assistant coach Joy Cheek prepare for some friendly competition at Dave & Buster's.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- One down! Great game Sunday night for the Blue Devils against Samford.
The environment was nothing like I have ever seen before. First off, the Memorial Gymnasium is simply unique with the benches on the baseline. Nonetheless, we adapted quite quickly and took care of business. At one point during the game, the thermometer read 90 degrees.
What does the Blue Devils' freshman class bring to the team? Chelsea Gray gives you a first-person look:
Following three practices this week since Monday's Selection Show, the entire team is excited about getting started with the NCAA tournament. We will be playing against Samford in the first round Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.
We heard from Duke's Chelsea Gray earlier in the day, but what does she think about the Blue Devils' bracket path?
Well, Duke got the No. 2 seed in the Fresno Region, and the sophomore guard checks in and talks about opening up the tourney against Samford in Nashville on Sunday.Excitement does not even fully explain the feeling before the NCAA tournament. Everybody is anxious to start the biggest tournament in college basketball. We, as a team, wonder where we are going to play, what seed we think we're going to get and who we will play first.
These are the jitters we experience before the selection show. We all come together and know that this is for all the marbles.
