Nine dad-daughter teams with game
Daddy's little girl? Please -- that's so 1971. In the Title IX world, daughters are Daddy's sprinters and ballers, teammates and challengers, and the acorns don't fall far from the tree. Take high school hoopster Taryn Griffey, who runs the point as gracefully as papa Junior patrolled center field; or WNBA All-Star Cheryl Ford, whose relentless rebounding is reminiscent of the Mailman's, dad Karl Malone (both pictured here). It's nature, sure -- Ford didn't even know Malone until she was grown -- but nurture matters, too, particularly when former jocks morph into Little League coaches or film study mentors. Blessed is the man who loses a step and then a torch-passing game of one-on-one. Father's Day has passed, but for the nine tandems featured here, every shot, serve and swat is a testament to Dad.
