Nine dad-daughter teams with game
Laila and Muhammad Ali
Leave it to The Greatest to spawn something he wasn't: an undefeated champ. Funny thing is, that's not what Muhammad Ali wanted. Yes, the living legend -- Olympic gold medalist, three-time heavyweight champ, renowned orator and activist -- owes his fame to boxing. But when daughter Laila first climbed inside the ropes, he objected. "He didn't want me to get hurt," Laila says. "Once he got to see me fight, though, and how happy it made me, he was behind me." That's the last time she needed to convince anyone that the ring was where she belonged. In an eight-year career, Laila was 24-0, and when she hung up her gloves, she had won the IBA, WIBA and IWBF belts. Then, like her dad, she used boxing as a springboard: The 34-year-old Ali is now president of the Women's Sports Foundation.
