Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer won two BCS titles at Florida, earning a rep as an offensive mastermind. Daughter Nicki, however, is a defensive specialist as a senior libero on Georgia Tech's volleyball team. Maybe that explains the occasional post-match disconnect. "It's funny," Nicki says. "I'll play terribly and he'll be like, 'You did great!'" Or maybe Dad's praise just shows that his demanding sideline persona doesn't overwhelm his fatherly pride. Sure, he nudged his daughter into sports, but once she was in, he was "the most supportive dad in the world," Nicki says. And what Urban doesn't know about volleyball, he more than makes up for with a keen understanding of big-time college sports. "He gives the best advice about any athletic situation," Nicki says. "Having him to talk to is great."
