QB Philyaw drives Brigade past defending champ Rush

KANSAS CITY -- Kansas City quarterback Raymond Philyaw was 23-of-33 for 225 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Brigade to a 54-41 win Sunday over the Chicago Rush.

Chicago took a 13-7 lead after DeJuan Alfonso returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown to end the first quarter. The Brigade then scored 16 points early in the second quarter.

Jerel Myers had eight catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns for Kansas City.

Rush quarterback Matt D'Orazio was 20-of-27 for 250 yards and five touchdowns. Bobby Sippio had eight catches for 122 yards and five touchdowns.
