Brigade QB Philyaw throws TD pass on first play in OT

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Raymond Philyaw threw a 35-yard touchdown passes to Boo Williams on the first play from scrimmage in overtime to help the Kansas City Brigade beat the Arizona Rattlers 62-61 on Friday night.

Sherdrick Bonner pulled the Rattlers within one with a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kevin KcKenzie, but Gary Kral's 2-point conversion pass fell incomplete.

After Philyaw threw an 18-yard TD pass to Williams with 35 seconds left in regulation, Arizona tied it with 5 seconds to go on Bonner's 20-yard pass to Harvey Trandon, and Kral's 2-point strike to Jeremiah Pope.

Philyaw was 26-of-37 for 352 yards and five touchdowns for the Brigade (2-2). Bonner was 24-of-39 for 248 yards and seven touchdowns for the Rattlers (1-4).
