Dietz throws 5 TD's, 286 yards as Storm strike Wranglers

AUSTIN, Texas -- Tampa Bay quarterback Brett Dietz had a sensational first AFL start Sunday, throwing for 286 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Storm to a 66-45 victory over the Austin Wranglers.

Dietz went 26-for-32 for the Storm (3-7). His favorite target was Lawrence Samuels, who had nine catches for 93 yards and three touchdowns.

Torrance Marshall added three touchdowns rushing for Tampa Bay against his former team. Jeroid Johnson had two interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.

Wranglers quarterback Adrian McPherson was 19-of-45 for 288 yards, with four touchdowns and two interceptions for Austin (3-6). Derrick Lewis had 10 catches for 216 yards and four touchdowns.
