LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Raymond Philyaw threw nine touchdown passes -- six to Otis Amey -- in the Cleveland Gladiators' 83-69 victory over the Los Angeles Avengers on Saturday night in the Arena Football League.

Philyaw was 30-of-39 for 411 yards, and Amey led the Gladiators (4-3) in receiving with 15 catches for 208 yards. Tom Hicks was 31-of-45 for 378 yards and eight touchdowns and also ran for a score for the Avengers (3-5).
