Nagy, Destroyers beat Dragons to clinch playoff spot

NEW YORK -- Quarterback Matt Nagy threw for 256 yards and seven touchdowns and the Columbus Destroyers qualified for the playoffs, beating the New York Dragons 74-43 Saturday night.

Josh Bush caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and also ran for two scores for the Destroyers (7-9).

Rohan Davey completed 28 of 46 passes for 307 yards and five scores, four to Mike Horacek, for the Dragons (5-11).

While the Dragons outgained the Destroyers 306-278, New York was 1-of-6 on third down. Columbus converted 5-of-6 third downs.
