LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tim Hicks threw eight touchdown passes, four to LaShaun Ward, leading the Los Angeles Avengers to a 79-62 victory over the Utah Blaze on Saturday night in the Arena Football League.

Hicks was 18-of-29 for 284 yards and eight touchdowns, and Ward led the Avengers (4-3) with seven catches for 169 yards. Timon Marshall, J.R. Tolver, Kevin Ingram and Clay Harrell also caught scoring passes.

Joe Germaine was 28-of-40 for 263 yards and nine touchdowns for the Blaze (0-7). J.J. McKelvey had 11 receptions for 171 yards and five touchdowns.
