PHOENIX (AP) -- Mark Grieb threw eight touchdown passes to lift the San Jose SaberCats over the Arizona Rattlers 63-42 on Friday night in the Arena Football League.

Grieb was 28-of-35 for 289 yards, and Rodney Wright led the defending champion SaberCats (6-5) in receiving with 14 catches for 143 yards and four touchdowns. James Roe added 11 receptions for 112 yards and three touchdowns.

Jeff Smoker threw four TD passes and Siaha Burley had 14 receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns for Arizona (4-6).
