Make sure you have the Sixers' Thaddeus Young in your lineup when he goes up against Toronto on Wednesday night. The Raptors have defended the 3-pointer a lot better in the early part of this season than they did last season, but they have had some trouble defending small forwards and Young is Philly's leading scorer. At this point, it probably is cliche to suggest sitting people when they play the Celtics, but the C's are absolutely swallowing centers this season, and I don't think the Hawks' Al Horford is going to buck that trend. The Grizzlies' O.J. Mayo has been playing incredibly well of late, and I wouldn't expect that to stop against the Knicks. They have been great about exaggerating other teams' fantasy numbers by not playing any defense and by turning the ball over a lot. There will be a bunch of possessions in this game and plenty of points to go around. T.J. Ford had his first really great game of the season Monday night, going for 24 points, 10 assists and seven boards against the Thunder, and he has a good-looking matchup against the Nets because Devin Harris is dealing with some ankle problems. Even if Harris plays, I don't expect much resistance; Ford is a great player and should always be in your lineup when healthy.
Leon Powe should be a good source of points and rebounds in deep leagues against the Hawks on Wednesday night. The Hawks have been playing strong defense this season, but with Josh Smith out, they might not have enough bodies on the front line, and Powe is great at coming in the game and taking advantage of matchups right away. He's averaging more than 20 points per 40 minutes on almost 60 percent shooting, so if he gets some run, he'll be productive. I know Quentin Richardson has burned a lot of fantasy teams in the past, but as long as he's healthy and playing for the Knicks this season, he's going to be a great source of 3s and he's going to rebound really well for a guard. He's been a productive player so far, so don't let his past seasons scare you off. I feel like I've written more words about Roger Mason than any other player this season, but the Spurs guard has deserved it. He's been very good in the absence of Manu Ginobili, and even though the Spurs have been terrible, he's been a huge contributor, especially in 3s. He's still available in most leagues, and he'll likely have another solid game against Milwaukee, so this might be your last chance to get him. I don't know what everyone's waiting for, but for Rudy Fernandez to be owned in only 40 percent of leagues is completely absurd. He has played quite well so far this season, and there's no reason to believe he won't maintain his level of play, if not improve, as the season goes on. He is ranked 27th overall right now on the Player Rater. I can't think of a fantasy league in which he wouldn't deserve to be owned. Pick him up and play him every day.
