Updates/analysis (most recent first)

7:12 p.m. ET -- Anthony Gonzalez out -- The Indianapolis Star reports that Anthony Gonzalez (knee, out) is inactive for the Colts, as expected. Pierre Garcon is likely to get another start, though Austin Collie will also be involved in the passing game.

7:10 p.m. ET -- Bob Sanders out -- The Indianapolis Star reports that S Bob Sanders (knee, out) is inactive for the Colts, as are CB Kelvin Hayden (hamstring, questionable) and LB Gary Brackett (knee, questionable). Freddie Keiaho is likely to start in Brackett's place. DE Dwight Freeney (back, questionable) is active.

7:07 p.m. ET -- Kurt Warner active -- The Cardinals' official Web site reports that Kurt Warner (right shoulder, probable) is active, as expected. He's well worth using in all fantasy formats. In other Cardinals news, S Antrel Rolle (quadricep, probable) is also active.

7:06 p.m. ET -- Breaston, Boldin active -- The Cardinals' official Web site reports that both Steve Breaston (knee, questionable) and Anquan Boldin (hamstring, probable) are active. Early Doucet (ribs, probable) is inactive. Boldin is the most appealing fantasy option of the bunch; Breaston warrants a look in deeper leagues.

3:23 p.m. ET -- Other Seahawks inactives -- The Seahawks' official Web site reports that LB Lofa Tatupu (hamstring, doubtful), T Walter Jones (knee, questionable), CB Josh Wilson (ankle, out) and LB LeRoy Hill (groin, out) are all inactive for the Seahawks. CB Ken Lucas (groin, questionable) and DT Brandon Mebane (calf, questionable), meanwhile, are active.

3:20 p.m. ET -- Raiders inactives -- The Contra Costa Times reports that Chaz Schilens (foot, out) and G Robert Gallery (fibula, out) are inactive for the Raiders, as expected. DE Richard Seymour (knee, probable), CB Nnamdi Asomugha (wrist, probable), Johnnie Lee Higgins (shoulder, probable) and LB Kirk Morrison (elbow, probable), meanwhile, are active.

3:15 p.m. ET -- Joey Porter active -- The Chargers' official Web site reports that OLB Joey Porter (hamstring, questionable) is active for the Dolphins, the team's Week 4 opponent.

3:14 p.m. ET -- More Chargers inactives -- NFL.com reports that C Nick Hardwick (ankle, out) is inactive for the Chargers, while LB Shawne Merriman (groin, questionable), S Eric Weddle (illness, probable) and LB Stephen Cooper (ankle, probable) are all active. The latter three are all viable IDP choices, but Hardwick's news is a bit distressing for the Chargers' running game.

3:12 p.m. ET -- LaDainian Tomlinson inactive -- NFL.com reports that LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle, out) is inactive for the Chargers, as expected. Darren Sproles will start and warrants No. 2/flex status in most fantasy leagues. Michael Bennett might also get a handful of carries.

3:10 p.m. ET -- Troy Polamalu inactive -- The Steelers' official Web site reports that S Troy Polamalu (knee, out) is inactive, as expected. LB James Harrison (illness, probable), Limas Sweed (foot, probable) and LB Lawrence Timmons (ankle, probable), meanwhile, are all active.

3:06 p.m. ET -- Seahawks receivers active -- The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Deion Branch (hamstring, probable) and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back, probable) are both active for the Seahawks. Houshmandzadeh is the only trustworthy choice in fantasy leagues, and even he has limited appeal facing the Bears.

3:05 p.m. ET -- Matt Hasselbeck inactive -- The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Matt Hasselbeck (rib, doubtful) is inactive for the Seahawks, as expected. Seneca Wallace will start in his place, but doesn't come recommended for fantasy owners.

3:02 p.m. ET -- Broncos have a fairly healthy offense -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that Knowshon Moreno (groin, questionable), Brandon Stokley (thigh, questionable), Jabar Gaffney (finger, probable) and Kyle Orton (right finger, probable) are all active. While the matchup is favorable on paper, battling the Raiders, none of these players represents an elite fantasy choice. Stokley and Gaffney, for instance, don't really belong in most lineups.

2:58 p.m. ET -- Desmond Clark inactive -- The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Desmond Clark (rib, doubtful) is inactive for the Bears. While that's good news for Greg Olsen's owners, remember that this was the same story a week ago, when it was Kellen Davis who had the more useful fantasy game. Just saying. In other Bears news, DE Alex Brown (ankle, questionable) is active.

2:51 p.m. ET -- Jeremy Shockey and Drew Brees active -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that both Drew Brees (left shoulder, probable) and Jeremy Shockey (ankle, probable) are active. Their matchups are tremendous; consider them strong fantasy options. Meanwhile, Lance Moore (hamstring, out) is inactive, while S Roman Harper (hamstring, probable) is active.

2:49 p.m. ET -- Mike Bell inactive, Pierre Thomas active -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Mike Bell (knee, out) is inactive, while Pierre Thomas (knee, probable) is active, for the Saints. It's unclear how much of a workload Thomas will take on; the Saints might very well divide the carries somewhat evenly between him, Lynell Hamilton and Reggie Bush. Plan accordingly.

2:48 p.m. ET -- Bills defenders inactives -- The Bills' official Web site reports that LB Paul Posluszny (forearm, out) is inactive, while both CB Terrence McGee (ankle, questionable) and CB Leodis McKelvin (fibula, probable) are active.

2:45 p.m. ET -- Benson, Henry active for Bengals -- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that both Cedric Benson (ankle, probable) and Chris Henry (quadricep, probable) are active for the Bengals. Though both players are safe to use if you need them in your fantasy league, neither faces a favorable matchup. Avoid them if possible.

12:20 p.m. ET -- Lions defense hurting -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that DE Cliff Avril (hamstring, doubtful), CB Eric King (shoulder, doubtful) and LB Ernie Sims (shoulder, doubtful) are inactive for the Lions. The Redskins' passing game should have an easier time than usual with Avril and King sidelined.

12:18 p.m. ET -- Clinton Portis active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Clinton Portis (ankle, questionable) is active for the Redskins. Expect Ladell Betts to get a handful more carries, but Portis is the Redskins running back you want. Jason Campbell (foot, probable) is also active and worth a look in two-quarterback leagues.

12:17 p.m. ET -- Other Browns inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that DT Shaun Rogers (foot, questionable) and Mohamed Massaquoi (shoulder, probable) are active. Brian Robiskie, meanwhile, is a game-day scratch.

12:15 p.m. ET -- Billy Cundiff to kick for Browns -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Phil Dawson (right calf, questionable) is inactive for the Browns, leaving the placekicking duties to the recently signed Billy Cundiff. Fantasy owners should hope to not need a Browns kicker.

12:14 p.m. ET -- Ravens players active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Ed Reed (neck, questionable) and L.J. Smith (hamstring, questionable) are active for the Ravens. While Smith will play, Todd Heap is the pass-catching tight end in Baltimore, so only use him in fantasy leagues.

12:13 p.m. ET -- Jets looking healthy -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Kellen Clemens (right elbow, probable), DT Kris Jenkins (back, probable) and Mark Sanchez (knee, probable) are all active for the Jets. Sanchez's status was never really in doubt, and he'll start, though this is a tough matchup for him versus the Titans.

12:10 p.m. ET -- Cadillac Williams active, but won't start -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Cadillac Williams (knee, questionable) is active for the Buccaneers, though the Tampa Tribune reported previously that Derrick Ward will start in his place. Earnest Graham (hamstring, questionable) is inactive, meanwhile. The Bucs will probably continue to rotate Ward and Williams, so don't expect much in terms of fantasy numbers from either back.

12:08 p.m. ET -- Antonio Bryant active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Antonio Bryant (knee, questionable) is active for the Buccaneers, though Maurice Stovall (knee, doubtful) is inactive. Though Bryant will play, don't be surprised if the Bucs use a receiver rotation including Michael Clayton, Sammie Stroughter and Brian Clark. None of these players warrants much fantasy attention.

12:03 p.m. ET -- Jamal Lewis inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Jamal Lewis (hamstring, doubtful) is inactive for the Browns. James Davis (shoulder, probable) is active, but Clayton notes that Jerome Harrison will get the start in Lewis' place. If you must pick a Browns running back, Harrison should be your first choice, but Davis will get his touches. The smart play: Avoid this backfield.

12:01 p.m. ET -- Rob Bironas active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Rob Bironas (right ankle, questionable) is active for the Titans. Not that it's a surprise, as the team didn't sign a replacement kicker, but there might be better weeks to use Bironas. The Titans face the Jets on the road in bad weather this week. Also, both Vince Young (illness, questionable) and Bo Scaife (knee, questionable) are inactive.

11:59 a.m. ET -- Other Packers inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Brandon Jackson (ankle, out) is inactive for the Packers, as expected, as is S Atari Bigby (knee, out). Derrick Martin should start at strong safety. Both S Nick Collins (chest, probable) and LB Aaron Kampman (hand, probable) are active.

11:58 a.m. ET -- Mason Crosby active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Mason Crosby (abdomen, probable) is active for the Packers. Crosby is well worth using in a dome game against a bad defense.

11:57 a.m. ET -- Other Patriots inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB Jerod Mayo (knee, out) is inactive, while both Chris Baker (ankle, questionable) and S Brandon Meriweather (ankle, questionable) are active, for the Patriots.

11:57 a.m. ET -- Tom Brady active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Tom Brady (right shoulder, probable) is active for the Patriots. Shocking; did anyone ever have any doubt?

11:54 a.m. ET -- Jason Elam active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Jason Elam (left hamstring, probable) is active for the Falcons. Elam could ask for a better matchup, but he's a top-shelf kicker worth your attention.

11:54 a.m. ET -- Jerious Norwood inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Jerious Norwood (head, questionable) is inactive for the Falcons. Expect Jason Snelling to play third downs this week, not that he's fantasy-worthy.

11:51 a.m. ET -- Big news on Patriots WRs -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Randy Moss (back, questionable) is active, but Wes Welker (knee, questionable) is inactive, for the Patriots. To repeat, Welker is once again out, so sit him. Moss is a must-start. Julian Edelman (ankle, questionable) is also active, and presumably will play out of Welker's slot-receiver spot once again. Sleeper alert!

11:49 a.m. ET -- Frank Gore active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both 49ers running backs, Glen Coffee (hip, probable) and Frank Gore (ankle, probable), are active. Gore is the one fantasy owners want, and while he faces a rock-solid defensive front at Minnesota, he's too talented to ever sit in any fantasy format.

11:47 a.m. ET -- Vikings defenders active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both LB E.J. Henderson (shoulder, questionable) and S Madieu Williams (shoulder, probable) are active.

11:45 a.m. ET -- Adrian Peterson active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Adrian Peterson (back, probable) is active, as expected. Nothing to worry about here; "All Day" is a must-start.

11:43 a.m. ET -- Kevin Walter active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Kevin Walter (hamstring, questionable) is active for the Texans. The Jaguars' pass defense is a poor one, so even if Walter is limited he might be able to put forth a big fantasy day. Andre Davis (concussion, doubtful) is once again inactive.

11:41 a.m. ET -- Maurice Jones-Drew active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Maurice Jones-Drew (knee, probable) is active for the Jaguars. He's a must-start facing the sorry Texans defense.

11:40 a.m. ET -- Percy Harvin active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Percy Harvin (illness, questionable) is active for the Vikings. He might be a bit less than his normal self due to migraines, but if you needed him in a deeper league, he's active, at least.

11:40 a.m. ET -- Eagles defenders active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both LB Omar Gaither (neck, probable) and CB Asante Samuel (neck, probable) are active for the Eagles.

11:36 a.m. ET -- Eagles missing Westbrook, Curtis -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Kevin Curtis (knee, doubtful) and Brian Westbrook (ankle, questionable) are inactive for the Eagles. Jeremy Maclin will probably start in Curtis' place, reports ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, with Jason Avant still in the slot. Both are deeper-league options. LeSean McCoy will start for Westbrook, reports Paolantonio, and warrants No. 2/flex consideration. DeSean Jackson (groin, questionable) is active and well worth a look in all formats.

11:35 a.m. ET -- Chiefs D inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB Derrick Johnson (groin, questionable) is inactive, though CB Brandon Flowers (shoulder, probable) is active.

11:35 a.m. ET -- Matt Cassel active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Matt Cassel (knee, probable) is active. As noted earlier, he's an unappealing fantasy option with his top receiving target out.

11:32 a.m. ET -- Donovan McNabb inactive -- The Wilmington News Journal reports that Donovan McNabb (rib, doubtful) is inactive. Expect Kevin Kolb to start, though his fantasy appeal will be greatly diminished by the fact that both Jeff Garcia and Michael Vick are also active.

11:30 a.m. ET -- Giants D inactives -- The Giants' official Web site reports that S Kenny Phillips (knee, injured reserve) and CB Aaron Ross (hamstring, out) are inactive. C.C. Brown will step in at strong safety for Phillips. DE Justin Tuck (shoulder, questionable) is dressed for the game, though he'll probably share time with Mathias Kiwanuka accounting for his injury.

11:28 a.m. ET -- Giants lack Nicks, Hixon, but Manningham active -- The Giants' official Web site reports that Hakeem Nicks (foot, out) and Domenik Hixon (knee, questionable) are both inactive, though Mario Manningham (shoulder, probable) is active. Both Manningham and Steve Smith are solid plays versus the Buccaneers, one of the worst pass defenses in football. In other Giants offensive player news, Danny Ware (elbow, out) is inactive.

11:24 a.m. ET -- Dwayne Bowe inactive -- ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Dwayne Bowe (hamstring, questionable) is inactive.

11:22 a.m. ET -- Dwayne Bowe looking unlikely -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Dwayne Bowe (hamstring, questionable) is looking likely to be inactive. Downgrade the entire Chiefs offense, particularly Matt Cassel (knee, probable).

11:16 a.m. ET -- Matt Hasselbeck won't dress -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Hasselbeck (rib, doubtful) "won't even dress." Seneca Wallace will start in his place, facing a challenging matchup versus the Bears.

11:13 a.m. ET -- Clinton Portis to play -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Clinton Portis (ankle, questionable) is expected to be active. With a soft matchup versus the Lions, Portis is a useful No. 2 or flex despite his sluggish start to the year.
