Updates/analysis (most recent first)

7:41 p.m. ET -- IDP inactives for Colts-Titans -- The Titans' official Web site reports that CB Cortland Finnegan (hamstring, questionable) is inactive for the Titans, a bit of a surprise considering it seemed earlier in the week he'd play. Both CB Nick Harper (ribs, questionable) and LB Keith Bulluck (knee, probable) are active, however. For the Colts, CB Kelvin Hayden (hamstring, out) and S Bob Sanders (knee, doubtful) are both active.

7:40 p.m. ET -- Joseph Addai active -- The Jaguars' official Web site reports that Joseph Addai (hand, questionable) is active for the opposing Colts, though Anthony Gonzalez (knee, out) is inactive as expected. This confirms our earlier report, though Addai isn't a recommended fantasy option this week.

7:39 p.m. ET -- Nate Washington active -- The Titans' official Web site reports that Nate Washington (concussion, probable) is active. The matchup on paper is not a favorable one, so limit his use to No. 3/4 status in deeper leagues.

3:25 p.m. ET -- Seahawks IDP inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB Leroy Hill (groin, out) is inactive, though CB Josh Wilson (ankle, probable) and LB Lofa Tatupu (hamstring, probable) are active, for the Seahawks.

3:24 p.m. ET -- Matt Hasselbeck active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Matt Hasselbeck (rib, probable) is active for the Seahawks, as expected. He's worth using facing the soft Jaguars secondary, but understand there's a health risk with him, especially being that two key offensive liners, T Walter Jones (knee, out) and T Sean Locklear (ankle, out), are inactive.

3:23 p.m. ET -- Cardinals IDPs active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both DT Darnell Dockett (ankle, questionable) and CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (finger, questionable) are active for the Cardinals.

3:22 p.m. ET -- Warner, Breaston active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Steve Breaston (knee, questionable) and Kurt Warner (right shoulder, probable) are active for the Cardinals. Both warrant fantasy attention, though Breaston as more of a No. 3/4 option due to the thinned-out bye weeks.

3:22 p.m. ET -- Texans IDPs active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both DE Mario Williams (shoulder, questionable) and LB Brian Cushing (illness, probable) are active for the Texans.

3:21 p.m. ET -- Davis, Moats active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Andre Davis (calf, questionable) and Ryan Moats (toe, probable) are active for the Texans. Neither one is a recommended fantasy option.

3:16 p.m. ET -- Jason Elam active -- The Falcons' official Web site reports that Jason Elam (left hamstring, probable) is active. It's not the best of matchups for him, however.

3:14 p.m. ET -- Patriots IDPs active -- ESPN Boston reports that both LB Jerod Mayo (knee, questionable) and DT Vince Wilfork (ankle, questionable) are active for the Patriots.

3:13 p.m. ET -- Brady, Welker active -- ESPN Boston reports that both Tom Brady (right shoulder, probable) and Wes Welker (knee, questionable) are active for the Patriots, as expected. The matchup isn't as favorable as you'd think, but most fantasy owners would have a tough time sitting either player.

3:12 p.m. ET -- Taylor, Galloway out for Patriots -- ESPN Boston reports that both Fred Taylor (ankle, out) and Joey Galloway are inactive for the Patriots, as expected.

3:09 p.m. ET -- Mike Sims-Walker won't play -- The Jaguars' official Web site reports that Mike Sims-Walker is out for Week 5 due to a violation of team rules. This is huge news for fantasy as he had been one of the hotter receivers of the past month. Mike Thomas will start in Sims-Walker's place, but this news probably means more to Torry Holt's owners than anything.

3:08 p.m. ET -- Battle, Willis active for 49ers -- The 49ers' official Web site reports that both Arnaz Battle (hand, probable) and LB Patrick Willis (abdomen, probable) are active. Willis is a top IDP; he's a must-start in those formats.

3:06 p.m. ET -- Frank Gore inactive -- The 49ers' official Web site reports that Frank Gore (foot, out) is inactive, as expected. Glen Coffee will start once again, and the matchup does make him a favorable No. 2/flex option.

3:04 p.m. ET -- Justin Durant inactive -- The Jaguars' official Web site reports that LB Justin Durant (hip, probable) is inactive.

3:03 p.m. ET -- Broncos IDP inactives -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that LB Spencer Larsen (shoulder, out) is inactive, though S Brian Dawkins (knee, questionable), G Ben Hamilton (hamstring, questionable) and CB Alphonso Smith (ankle, questionable) are all active.

2:59 p.m. ET -- Correll Buckhalter inactive -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that Correll Buckhalter (ankle, out) is inactive. Knowshon Moreno will start in his place and is worth a look in deeper leagues.

12:37 p.m. ET -- Eli Manning likely to start ESPN's John Clayton reports that Eli Manning (foot, questionable), already declared active for the week, is likely to draw the start for the Giants and will play for as long as his foot will allow. There's a clear health risk here and if the Giants mount an early lead, Manning will surely be hooked, so keep him reserved if you at all can.

12:32 p.m. ET -- Chris Harris active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Chris Harris (knee, probable) is active for the Panthers.

12:31 p.m. ET -- Lions IDP inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB Ernie Sims (shoulder, probable) is active, though DE Dewayne White (hamstring, out) is inactive, for the Lions.

12:25 p.m. ET -- IDP inactives from Browns-Bills -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB D'Qwell Jackson (hamstring, doubtful), DE Kenyon Coleman (groin, probable), DT Shaun Rogers (foot, probable) and CB Eric Wright (hand, probable) are all active for the Browns. The Bills, meanwhile, have LB Paul Posluszny (forearm, out), S Bryan Scott (ankle, out) and S Donte Whitner (thumb, out) all inactive, which is a real hit to their defense. Bump up your Browns offensive players, if you need to dig that deep. CB Terrence McGee (knee, probable) is active for the Bills, however.

12:24 p.m. ET -- Phil Dawson inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Phil Dawson (right calf, doubtful) is inactive for the Browns. Billy Cundiff will kick for the Browns again, though as usual, you don't want him.

12:23 p.m. ET -- Jones, Williams inactive for Cowboys -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Felix Jones (knee, doubtful) and Roy E. Williams (ribs, doubtful) are inactive for the Cowboys, as expected. Marion Barber (thigh, probable) is active and well worth using in all fantasy formats.

12:12 p.m. ET -- Jamal Lewis active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Jamal Lewis (hamstring, questionable) is active for the Browns. Expect him to share carries with Jerome Harrison this week, which limits both their fantasy appeal.

12:11 p.m. ET -- IDP inactives from Bucs-Eagles -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that DE Gaines Adams (ankle, questionable) is active for the Buccaneers.

12:09 p.m. ET -- Graham, Leftwich sit for Bucs -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Byron Leftwich (hip, probable) and Earnest Graham (hamstring, questionable) are inactive for the Buccaneers, though Antonio Bryant (knee, questionable), Michael Clayton (ribs, probable) and Derrick Ward (knee, probable) are all active. Bryant is the most notable fantasy name here, and even he is more of a No. 3 wide receiver type for this matchup. Expect Cadillac Williams to get the start at running back, making him the only Bucs back of fantasy significance.

12:08 p.m. ET -- Kevin Curtis inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Kevin Curtis (knee, questionable) is inactive for the Eagles. Jeremy Maclin should get the start and isn't a bad hail-mary type for those of you in deep leagues.

12:07 p.m. ET -- Brian Westbrook active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Brian Westbrook (ankle, probable) is active for the Eagles. Expect him to share carries with LeSean McCoy, though, but Westbrook does warrant No. 2/flex status in most formats.

12:06 p.m. ET -- Donovan McNabb active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Donovan McNabb (rib, probable) is active for the Eagles, as expected. The team has all three quarterbacks active this week, though, meaning the team will likely ease McNabb back in with a healthy number of "Wildcat" plays involving Michael Vick. McNabb still has enough fantasy appeal accounting the matchup to be worth your while, though.

12:01 p.m. ET -- IDP inactives from Raiders-Giants -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Michael Huff (quadricep, questionable), CB Nnamdi Asomugha (wrist, probable) and S Tyvon Branch (hip, probable) are all active for the Raiders, though regarding the offensive line, G Robert Gallery (fibula, out) is again inactive. To repeat, you want to steer clear of Raiders this week. For the Giants, both CB Aaron Ross (hamstring, out) and LB Michael Boley (knee, out) are inactive, though DE Justin Tuck (shoulder, probable) is active.

12:00 p.m. ET -- Giants without Boss, but Bradshaw active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Kevin Boss (ankle, doubtful) and Danny Ware (elbow, questionable) are inactive for the Giants, but Domenik Hixon (knee, probable) and Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle, probable) are active. Bradshaw is a big-time sleeper this week, what with the Raiders' run defense ranking poorly and the Giants likely to run, run, run all day to take the strain off their ailing quarterback.

11:58 a.m. ET -- McFadden, Schilens inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Chaz Schilens (foot, out) and Darren McFadden (knee, out) are inactive for the Raiders, as expected. Zach Miller (concussion, questionable), however, is active. Before you go grab Miller, though, ask yourself, do you really want a Raiders offensive player active versus the Giants?

11:55 a.m. ET -- IDP inactives from Bengals-Ravens -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Chinedum Ndukwe (hamstring, questionable), LB Rey Maualuga (knee, probable), DT Domata Peko (chest, probable) and S Roy L. Williams (forearm, probable) are all active for the Bengals, while DT Haloti Ngata (back, probable) and S Ed Reed (knee, probable) are active for the Ravens. T Jared Gaither (neck, questionable) is inactive for the Ravens, which is a bit of a hit for the team in terms of pass protection.

11:54 a.m. ET -- Ravens receivers healthy -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both Derrick Mason (neck, probable) and Demetrius Williams (illness, probable) are active for the Ravens. Mason is the one fantasy owners should target; he's a fine PPR option and the matchup is decent enough for him in standard scoring too.

11:52 a.m. ET -- Smith, Johnson active for Lions -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Kevin Smith (shoulder, probable), Calvin Johnson (thigh, probable) and Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring, probable) are all active for the Lions. Smith and Johnson are fine starts regardless of matchup, including this less-than-savory one versus the Steelers. Pettigrew is more of a dynasty-league/hail-mary deep-league option.

11:51 a.m. ET -- Matthew Stafford inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Matthew Stafford (knee, questionable) is inactive for the Lions, as expected. Daunte Culpepper will earn the start at quarterback, but he's a no-go for fantasy owners facing the Steelers.

11:50 a.m. ET -- Troy Polamalu inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Troy Polamalu (knee, doubtful) is inactive for the Steelers. Polamalu's absence has made the Steelers a less-scary opposing matchup for offensive players, though let's face it, the Steelers still face the Lions this week. No reason to think the Steelers' defense isn't in line for a big game.

11:49 a.m. ET -- Willie Parker inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that Willie Parker (toe, out) is inactive for the Steelers, as expected. Rashard Mendenhall will start in Parker's place and is a tremendous fantasy option facing the Lions.

11:46 a.m. ET -- IDP inactives from Vikings-Rams -- The Rams' official Web site reports that CB Ronald Bartell (thigh, probable) is active for the Rams, while the Vikings have DE Ray Edwards (hamstring, probable) and CB Cedric Griffin (hand, probable) active. G Steve Hutchinson (back, probable) is also active for the Vikings.

11:45 a.m. ET -- Marc Bulger active as the No. 2 -- The Rams' official Web site reports that Marc Bulger (right shoulder, questionable) is active, but will serve as the backup this week. Kyle Boller will start at quarterback, though he's a poor fantasy option especially accounting for the questionable health of his receivers.

11:44 a.m. ET -- Donnie Avery active -- The Rams' official Web site reports that Ruvell Martin (hamstring, doubtful) is inactive for the Rams, though both Donnie Avery (hamstring, questionable) and Keenan Burton (hamstring, questionable) are active. The Rams' receiver corps entered the week noticeably nicked up, so try to avoid the lot if you can. Avery and Burton should likely be the starters, though, if you're desperate.

11:43 a.m. ET -- Brett Favre active -- The Rams' official Web site reports that Brett Favre (foot, probable) is active for the opposing Vikings. Big shock; Favre is a must-start accounting for the matchup.

11:38 a.m. ET -- Jonathan Stewart active after all -- The Rock Hill Herald now reports that their earlier indication was incorrect; Jonathan Stewart (achilles, questionable) will be active after all. DeAngelo Williams remains a must-start, but expect Stewart to get his usual workload.

11:37 a.m. ET -- Cedric Benson active -- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Cedric Benson (hip, probable) is active for the Bengals. He's worth using if you own him, but as more of a No. 2/flex type seeing as the matchup is a poor one (at Ravens).

11:34 a.m. ET -- Eli Manning active -- ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports that Eli Manning (foot, questionable) will be active for the Giants, but it's currently unclear whether Manning will actually start the game. All signs point to him starting the game, but David Carr could get the nod instead. Our best recommendation: Avoid Manning, who probably won't be asked to do much against a Raiders defense more susceptible to the run than the pass.

11:32 a.m. ET -- Jonathan Stewart looking like a no-go -- The Rock Hill Herald reports that Jonathan Stewart (achilles, questionable) has been spotted in sweats on the sidelines, meaning he'll be an inactive. That's great news for DeAngelo Williams owners, as Williams will get a full slate of touches.

11:27 a.m. ET -- Roy E. Williams won't play -- ESPN's Tim McMahon reports that Roy E. Williams (ribs, doubtful) did not travel with the Cowboys to Kansas City. Expect Miles Austin to start in Williams' place, and that's a helpful nugget to those of you looking for a wide-receiver sleeper for Week 5.

11:25 a.m. ET -- Joey Galloway won't play -- ESPN's Ed Werder reports that Joey Galloway did not travel with the Patriots to Denver. That's good news for Julian Edelman, though keep in mind we're still talking No. 3 receivers on a team with surprisingly unfriendly matchups.

11:18 a.m. ET -- Joseph Addai to play -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Joseph Addai (hand, questionable) is expected to play in the Sunday night game. The Colts might split the workload between him and Donald Brown, though, to take off some of the pressure.
