Updates/analysis (most recent first)

7:43 p.m. ET -- Rackers, Dansby active -- The Cardinals' official Web site reports that K Neil Rackers (right groin, questionable) and LB Karlos Dansby (shoulder, questionable) are active.

7:42 p.m. ET -- Tim Hightower active -- The Cardinals' official Web site reports that RB Tim Hightower (thumb, questionable) is active. He'll occupy his traditional time share role with Beanie Wells, getting some goal-line and passing-down work, but the matchup is a poor one. Consider either running back a flex play at best.

7:40 p.m. ET -- Kurt Warner active -- The Cardinals' official Web site reports that QB Kurt Warner (head, questionable) is active. Toss in the previous update and Warner has a solid fantasy matchup in his return to the lineup. Of course, if you waited for him you effectively have to start him, but understand that the matchup is a good one.

7:40 p.m. ET -- Antoine Winfield inactive -- The Vikings' official Web site reports that CB Antoine Winfield (foot, questionable) is inactive.

7:35 p.m. ET -- Peterson, Taylor both active -- The Vikings' official Web site reports that RBs Adrian Peterson (ankle, probable) and Chester Taylor (ribs, questionable) are both active. So is RB Naufahu Tahi (ankle, probable). Peterson is the obvious play here; Taylor is a backup who doesn't get enough touches to be particularly fantasy-worthy. Tahi serves as a blocker.

7:35 p.m. ET -- Berrian, Shiancoe active -- The Vikings' official Web site reports that WR Bernard Berrian (hamstring, probable) and TE Visanthe Shiancoe (ribs, questionable) are both active. Shiancoe is the clear fantasy starter of the two, as he has been lining up quite a bit in the slot lately, not to mention he's a top target in the red zone. Berrian's fantasy stock has plummeted lately, and Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin are their clear top two wide receivers for our purposes.

3:02 p.m. ET -- Tony Romo active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that QB Tony Romo (back, probable) is active for the Cowboys, as expected. He's a fine fantasy play versus a struggling Giants defense.

3:02 p.m. ET -- Jason Witten active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that TE Jason Witten (foot, probable) is active for the Cowboys, as expected. Keep in mind Witten's sole touchdown this season came versus the Giants, who have safety issues.

3:02 p.m. ET -- DeMarcus Ware active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that LB DeMarcus Ware (foot, probable) is active for the Cowboys.

3:01 p.m. ET -- Jones, Forsett both active -- The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that both RBs Julius Jones (chest, probable) and Justin Forsett (quadricep, questionable) are active for the Seahawks. Expect Jones to start and get the bulk of the carries, relegating Forsett back to fantasy benches. Neither is an advised play this week.

2:59 p.m. ET -- Michael Robinson active -- The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that RB Michael Robinson (shoulder, probable) is active for the 49ers. He's not fantasy-worthy, and neither is the 49ers' typical No. 2 running back, Glen Coffee.

2:59 p.m. ET -- Isaac Bruce inactive -- The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that WR Isaac Bruce (ankle, questionable) is inactive for the 49ers. His stock has sure tumbled this season, as he's so clearly behind Josh Morgan and Jason Hill on the depth chart these days.

2:59 p.m. ET -- 49ers D inactives -- The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that CB Nate Clements (shoulder, out) is inactive, though S Michael Lewis (quadricep, probable) is active, for the 49ers.

2:57 p.m. ET -- Tolbert, Hester active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that RBs Mike Tolbert (not injury related, probable) and Jacob Hester (knee, probable) are active for the Chargers. They're depth options, though, and not fantasy-worthy. Darren Sproles remains the Chargers' No. 2 back.

2:57 p.m. ET -- Chargers D inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that S Eric Weddle (knee, out) and LB Shawne Merriman (foot, doubtful) are inactive, though LBs Kevin Burnett (head, probable) and Shaun Phillips (ankle, probable) are active.

2:52 p.m. ET -- Chris Jennings active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that RB Chris Jennings (shoulder, probable) is active for the Bengals. Expect Jennings to get the start with Jamal Lewis out for the season, though Jerome Harrison might get a handful of carries.

2:52 p.m. ET -- Greg Estandia inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that TE Robert Royal (thigh, probable) is active, though Greg Estandia is inactive, for the Browns. Not that you want Browns tight ends in your lineup, of course.

2:52 p.m. ET -- Browns D inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that CB Eric Wright (hamstring, questionable) and LBs Kamerion Wimbley (knee, questionable) and David Bowens (knee, probable) are active for the Browns. It's still a plus matchup for Chargers players, however, especially Philip Rivers.

2:40 p.m. ET -- Bradshaw active, Ware out -- The Giants' official Web site reports that RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle, questionable) is active, though RB Danny Ware (concussion, out) is inactive. This was expected, and with Bradshaw a little less than his usual self, he might see fewer carries behind Brandon Jacobs. Expect Gartrell Johnson to serve as the No. 3 running back.

2:40 p.m. ET -- Eli Manning active -- The Giants' official Web site reports that QB Eli Manning (foot, probable) is active. No surprise, and he's a useful enough play this week in a game the Giants desperately need to win.

2:40 p.m. ET -- Michael Boley active -- The Giants' official Web site reports that LB Michael Boley (back, probable) is active.

12:41 p.m. ET -- Porter, Bell active -- ESPNBoston.com reports that both LB Joey Porter (knee, questionable) and S Yeremiah Bell (thumb, probable) are active for the Dolphins.

12:39 p.m. ET -- Aiken active, Edelman not -- WEEI in Boston reports that WR Sam Aiken (hip) is active, though WR Julian Edelman (forearm, out) is inactive, for the Patriots. Neither one is much of a fantasy choice; it's Randy Moss and Wes Welker who should be expected to carve up the Dolphins' secondary.

12:39 p.m. ET -- Watson and Baker active -- WEEI in Boston reports that both TEs Benjamin Watson (knee, probable) and Chris Baker (shoulder, questionable) are active for the Patriots. The team's wide receivers are the fantasy options you want; Watson is more of a second-tier play.

12:38 p.m. ET -- Dantrell Savage inactive -- The Chiefs' official Web site reports that RB Dantrell Savage (ankle, doubtful) is inactive. Tossing in the news this week that RB Kolby Smith (ankle, out) is now on season-ending injured reserve, Jamaal Charles is a better fantasy play this week. Consider him a No. 2 option.

12:36 p.m. ET -- LaMont Jordan inactive -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that RB LaMont Jordan (back, probable) is inactive. No big loss; Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter are the team's top two running backs, and Moreno in particular is the fantasy option you want this week.

12:36 p.m. ET -- Eddie Royal active -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that WR Eddie Royal (thigh, probable) is active. He has been a tremendous disappointment in fantasy this season, though, and shouldn't be in most fantasy lineups.

12:36 p.m. ET -- Brian Dawkins active -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that S Brian Dawkins (ankle, questionable) is active.

12:35 p.m. ET -- Jaguars D inactives -- The Texans' official Web site reports that CB Rashean Mathis (groin, out) is inactive, though LB Justin Durant (head, probable) is active, for the opposing Jaguars. Andre Johnson's fantasy owners must be positively giddy about the news Mathis is out.

12:34 p.m. ET -- Cushing, Ryans active -- The Texans' official Web site reports that both LBs Brian Cushing (foot, probable) and DeMeco Ryans (ankle, probable) are active.

12:34 p.m. ET -- Laveranues Coles active -- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that WR Laveranues Coles (chest, probable) is active for the Bengals. Despite the soft matchup on paper, Coles isn't an advised fantasy play, especially being that No. 3 wide receiver Andre Caldwell has actually outperformed him for much of the year.

12:33 p.m. ET -- Lions D inactives -- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that S Louis Delmas (ankle, questionable) is active, though LB Ernie Sims (hamstring, questionable) is inactive, for the Lions.

12:32 p.m. ET -- Desmond Clark inactive -- The Chicago Sun-Times reports that TE Desmond Clark (neck, questionable) is inactive. No big loss; Greg Olsen is the Bears tight end fantasy owners want. Kellen Davis should occupy a larger role, though, and mostly for blocking purposes.

12:32 p.m. ET -- Bears D inactives -- The Chicago Sun-Times reports that LB Lance Briggs (knee, doubtful) is inactive, though CB Charles Tillman (concussion, questionable) and DE Alex Brown (calf, probable) are active, for the Bears.

12:31 p.m. ET -- James Laurinaitis active -- The Rams' official Web site reports that LB James Laurinaitis (shoulder, probable) is active.

12:30 p.m. ET -- Stovall active, Clayton not -- The Buccaneers official Web site reports that WR Maurice Stovall (thigh, probable) is active, though WR Michael Clayton (knee, out) is inactive. Neither one is a viable fantasy play anyway; Antonio Bryant is the only Bucs wide receiver who really warrants a look in deeper formats.

12:30 p.m. ET -- Kellen Winslow active -- The Buccaneers' official Web site reports that TE Kellen Winslow (knee, probable) is active, as expected. Winslow remains a solid fantasy choice most weeks regardless of matchup.

12:28 p.m. ET -- Curtis Lofton active -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that LB Curtis Lofton (knee, probable) is active for the Falcons.

12:28 p.m. ET -- Eagles D inactives -- The Wilmington Daily Herald reports that LB Akeem Jordan (knee, out) is inactive, though both CBs Asante Samuel (neck, probable) and Sheldon Brown (hamstring, probable) are active.

12:27 p.m. ET -- Rob Bironas active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that K Rob Bironas (right ankle, probable) is active for the Titans.

12:26 p.m. ET -- Justin Gage inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that WR Justin Gage (back, questionable) is inactive for the Titans. Kenny Britt should get another start, though this is an unfavorable matchup for him versus the Colts.

12:23 p.m. ET -- Darrius Heyward-Bey inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot, questionable) is inactive for the Raiders. Louis Murphy should start in his place, though he's not advised in fantasy leagues.

12:21 p.m. ET -- Justin Fargas active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that RB Justin Fargas (neck, probable) is active for the Raiders. Fargas will presumably start, but it's a poor matchup for him and he always has Darren McFadden and Michael Bush lurking to thieve carries.

12:21 p.m. ET -- Gren Ellis inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that DE Greg Ellis (knee, doubtful) is inactive for the Raiders.

12:20 p.m. ET -- Ben Roethlisberger active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that QB Ben Roethlisberger (head, probable) is active, though QB Charlie Batch (left wrist, out) is inactive as expected, for the Steelers. No Dennis Dixon this week, though he might be the backup quarterback in 2010. Roethlisberger is a mid-range fantasy play facing the Raiders.

12:19 p.m. ET -- Kyle Orton active -- The Broncos' official Web site reports that QB Kyle Orton (ankle, probable) is active. He's a worthwhile play in two-quarterback leagues facing the Chiefs.

12:18 p.m. ET -- Colts D inactives -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that DE Dwight Freeney (abdomen, questionable), LB Gary Brackett (foot, probable), DE Robert Mathis (neck, probable) and CB Jerraud Powers (knee, probable) are all active for the Colts. The Colts' defense is surprisingly healthy this week, though it's still not a top defensive team play in fantasy.

12:16 p.m. ET -- Reggie Wayne active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that WR Reggie Wayne (foot, probable) is active for the Colts, as expected. No surprises here; Wayne remains a must-start.

12:16 p.m. ET -- Santi, Vinatieri inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that TE Tom Santi (hand, probable) and K Adam Vinatieri (right knee, out) are both inactive for the Colts. Dallas Clark, obviously, is the Colts tight end to get. Matt Stover will get the start at kicker once again.

12:15 p.m. ET -- Addai active, Brown inactive -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that while RB Joseph Addai (knee, probable) is active, RB Donald Brown (chest, out) is inactive for the Colts. Addai is a solid fantasy No. 2 versus an overrated Titans run defense, and he'll be spelled occasionally by fill-in backup Chad Simpson this week.

12:14 p.m. ET -- Peyton Manning active, Sorgi not -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that QB Peyton Manning (glute, probable) is active, though QB Jim Sorgi (right shoulder, questionable) is inactive, for the Colts. No surprises here; Manning should be a mainstay in fantasy lineups, just as he is on the Colts' weekly injury report.

12:13 p.m. ET -- Stafford, Megatron active -- ESPN's John Clayton reports that both QB Matthew Stafford (left shoulder, probable) and WR Calvin Johnson (knee, probable) are active for the Lions. This was expected, though the matchup is hardly exceptional for either. Still, it's almost impossible for Johnson to be benched in fantasy leagues, especially as the Lions might be throwing a lot to him late.

12:11 p.m. ET -- Mike Sims-Walker active -- The Texans' official Web site reports that WR Mike Sims-Walker (knee, probable) is active for the opposing Jaguars. Keep Sims-Walker in your fantasy lineups, as he and the team's passing game tends to play a lot better at home.

12:10 p.m. ET -- Maurice Jones-Drew active -- The Texans' official Web site reports that RB Maurice Jones-Drew (knee, probable) is active for the opposing Jaguars. Not that this is any surprise, and nor should this comment be: Jones-Drew is a must-start.

12:09 p.m. ET -- DeAngelo Hall inactive -- The Redskins' official Web site reports that CB DeAngelo Hall (knee, doubtful) is inactive. This is a boost to the Saints' wide receivers, so don't have as much fear about the Redskins' numbers defending the pass on paper.

12:07 p.m. ET -- Saints D inactives -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that CBs Tracy Porter (knee, out), Randall Gay (hamstring, out) and Jabari Greer (groin, out), as well as LB Scott Fujita (knee, out), are inactive. A big plus for the Redskins' offense, not that any of their individuals are top-shelf plays, but keep it in mind. CB Chris McAlister (knee, probable) and LB Jonathan Vilma (knee, probable) are both active, though McAlister is not in the starting lineup.

12:07 p.m. ET -- John Carney inactive -- Confirming my earlier report, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that John Carney is indeed inactive for the Saints.

12:06 p.m. ET -- Ricky Williams active -- ESPNBoston.com reports that RB Ricky Williams (chest, probable) is active for the Dolphins, as expected. He's a must-start, on the hot streak he's on. Lex Hilliard and Lousaka Polite will continue to occupy minor roles backing Williams up.

12:04 p.m. ET -- Jacoby Jones inactive -- The Texans' official Web site reports that WR Jacoby Jones is inactive in a coach's decision. The Houston Chronicle reported he was late to a team meeting on Saturday. Jones' absence mostly hurts the special teams and receiving depth; fantasy owners shouldn't have been counting on him. Andre Davis will see an increased role, but also isn't a fantasy consideration.

12:02 p.m. ET -- Steve Slaton inactive -- Confirming my earlier report, the Texans' official Web site reports that RB Steve Slaton (neck, questionable) is indeed inactive, and Chris Brown will start in his place. Feel free to use Brown as a low-No. 2/flex.

12:00 p.m. ET -- Aqib Talib inactive -- The Buccaneers' official Web site reports that CB Aqib Talib (hamstring, questionable), the team's top cover corner, is inactive. This provides a noticeable upgrade for Steve Smith of the Panthers, so start him despite his having Matt Moore as his quarterback.

11:59 a.m. ET -- Brent Celek active -- The Wilmington Daily Herald reports that TE Brent Celek (thumb, probable) is active for the Eagles. This was expected, and in spite of Celek's problems with drops last week, he remains a useful fantasy option due to other injuries among the team's receivers.

11:58 a.m. ET -- Maclin, Avant both active -- The Wilmington Daily Herald reports that WRs Jeremy Maclin (foot, probable) and Jason Avant (hamstring, probable) are active as expected. Just confirming my earlier report.

11:57 a.m. ET -- Sammy Morris active, Taylor out -- WEEI in Boston reports that RB Sammy Morris (knee, questionable) is active, though RB Fred Taylor (ankle, out) is inactive, for the Patriots. With Morris healthy, Laurence Maroney's matchup becomes a bit less attractive, though he's a useful low-No. 2/flex option.

11:56 a.m. ET -- Tom Brady active -- WEEI in Boston reports that QB Tom Brady (right shoulder, probable) is active for the Patriots as expected. You know what to do.

11:55 a.m. ET -- Jeremy Shockey active -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that TE Jeremy Shockey (elbow, probable) is active for the Saints. Shockey's role in the offense has diminished somewhat, mostly a product of the team spreading the ball around, but he's a decent low-end No. 1/high-end No. 2 if you typically count on him.

11:53 a.m. ET -- Thomas, Bell active -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that both RBs Pierre Thomas (wrist, probable) and Mike Bell (knee, probable) are active for the Saints. It's a true three-headed monster for the Saints this week, so be careful not to elevate any one back over flex-play status if you can help it.

11:51 a.m. ET -- Cedric Benson active -- The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that RB Cedric Benson (hip, probable) is active and starting, as expected. Even if he has a limited number of carries or the Bengals blow out the opposing Lions, the matchup is too good not to have Benson active as a No. 2/flex. RB Bernard Scott (toe, doubtful) is inactive, so Larry Johnson is the only true threat to Benson's workload. Brian Leonard might play some passing downs.

11:49 a.m. ET -- Jerious Norwood actually starting -- The Falcons' official Web site reports that it's actually Jerious Norwood, not Jason Snelling, who will start at running back for the Falcons. That just continues to underscore how uncertain each of their carry totals will be this week.

11:46 a.m. ET -- Reggie Bush active -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that RB Reggie Bush (knee, questionable) is active for the Saints. Bush might step back in as the goal-line back, but a likely limited number of carries makes him a flex play at best.

11:44 a.m. ET -- Steven Jackson active -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that RB Steven Jackson (back, questionable) is active for the Rams. Jackson continues to miss the full week of practice, then grits it out on Sundays, and last week he was surprisingly productive for a guy who didn't practice. What else do you need to hear to know he's a must-start regardless of matchup?

11:40 a.m. ET -- Roddy White active -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that WR Roddy White (knee, questionable) is active for the Falcons, as is WR Brian Finneran (knee, questionable). They'll both presumably start, but White is the only clear fantasy option, and his matchup isn't that great. Expect Tony Gonzalez to get a healthy number of targets this week.

11:30 a.m. ET -- Williams inactive, Stewart to start -- The Rock Hill Herald reports that RB DeAngelo Williams (ankle, questionable) is inactive. RB Jonathan Stewart (achilles, probable) is active and should get the start and the bulk of the carries. Stewart is a solid No. 2 option facing the Buccaneers at home. RB Brad Hoover (ankle, probable) is also active but likely to serve as more of a blocker than ball-carrier.

11:30 a.m. ET -- Jarrett inactive, Muhammad active -- The Rock Hill Herald reports that WR Muhsin Muhammad (knee, probable) is active, though WR Dwayne Jarrett (ankle, doubtful) is inactive, for the Panthers. Muhammad remains the Panthers' No. 2 wide receiver, but with an unproven quarterback under center he's not recommended even facing the Bucs.

11:24 a.m. ET -- Albert Haynesworth active -- The Redskins' official Web site reports that DT Albert Haynesworth (ankle, questionable) is active and will start. This is a big boost to the Redskins' defense, not that it's a fantasy option facing the Saints, but it will make things a little tougher on the visiting team.

11:02 a.m. ET -- Michael Turner out -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that RB Michael Turner (ankle, questionable) will be inactive for the Falcons. Jason Snelling will start at running back, though expect to see a healthy dose of Jerious Norwood, too. Snelling is only a flex consideration with the division of carries unclear.

11:02 a.m. ET -- Michael Jenkins out -- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Michael Jenkins (ankle, questionable) will be inactive for the Falcons. WR Brian Finneran (knee, questionable) will probably get the start (if active as expected), though it's not like Jenkins had the kind of role that was fantasy-relevant. For that reason, fill-in Finneran isn't, either.

10:51 a.m. ET -- Garrett Hartley to start -- The New Orleans Times-Picayune is confirming reports from numerous sources that Garrett Hartley will be the Saints' starting placekicker in Week 13. John Carney is expected to be inactive. As a kicker for a high-profile offense, Hartley wouldn't make a bad fill-in.

10:25 a.m. ET -- Steve Slaton likely out -- ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports that RB Steve Slaton (neck, questionable) is a likely inactive for the Texans. Expect Chris Brown to get the bulk of the rushing work in Slaton's absence, making him a worthwhile flex option, though Ryan Moats will see increased carries, too.

10:19 a.m. ET -- No worries with Tom Brady -- ESPN's Adam Schefter posted on Twitter Sunday morning that QB Tom Brady (right shoulder, probable) did injure a finger in practice on Friday, "But team not concerned. He's fine and he's playing." Brady's owners have nothing to worry about, and this is a fantastic matchup for him.

Ruled out before Sunday -- Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (concussion, out) and WRs DeSean Jackson (concussion, out) and Kevin Curtis (knee, out). Expect LeSean McCoy to get the start at running back, making him a solid No. 2/flex, with Leonard Weaver backing him up. Both WRs Jeremy Maclin (foot, probable) and Jason Avant (hamstring, probable) are on the injury report but should play. Maclin is a solid No. 2 option, Avant a No. 3/flex. Reggie Brown might start across from Maclin, but isn't a fantasy consideration. ... Falcons QB Matt Ryan (toe, out). Chris Redman will get the start, and while he did impress in a comeback victory in Week 12, Redman isn't advised this week facing the Eagles' pass defense. ... Panthers QB Jake Delhomme (right finger, out). Matt Moore will start at quarterback but shouldn't be used in fantasy. ... Rams QB Marc Bulger (knee, out). Expect Kyle Boller to get another start, though he's not advised except in the deepest of two-quarterback leagues. ... Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee, out). Pierre Garcon generally starts in his place, but Austin Collie gets a fair share of work in three-receiver sets. Both are No. 3/flex considerations. ... Steelers S Troy Polamalu (knee, out). Though the Steelers' defense tends to play noticeably worse without Polamalu, they couldn't ask for a better matchup with one of their key defenders out. Remain faithful. ... Saints WR Lance Moore (ankle, out). Devery Henderson typically "starts" in Moore's place, but Robert Meachem often gets work in three-receiver sets and is in a hot enough streak to be a No. 3/flex option. ... Redskins RB Clinton Portis (concussion, out). Expect Rock Cartwright to get another start, making him a flex candidate, though Quinton Ganther and Marcus Mason might be involved.
