Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Earl Bennett inactive (19:06 p.m. ET): Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that WR Earl Bennett (chest, questionable) is inactive.

Antoine Winfield inactive (19:05 p.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that CB Antoine Winfield (neck, doubtful) is inactive.

Percy Harvin active (19:05 p.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that WR Percy Harvin (ribs, questionable) is active. He's producing like more of a No. 3 wide receiver these days than a true starter in a standard league, but if you've waited this long for him, this is good news for you.

David Buehler inactive (2:53 p.m. ET): Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that K David Buehler (right groin, out) is inactive. Dan Bailey gets another week as the Cowboys' kicker.

Miles Austin active (2:53 p.m. ET): Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that WR Miles Austin (hamstring, probable) is active. He matches up tremendously with the Patriots, so get him into your lineup in all formats.

Dez Bryant active (2:53 p.m. ET): Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that WR Dez Bryant (thigh, probable) is active. Just as with Miles Austin, Bryant stacks up great against the woeful Patriots secondary. Get him into your lineup.

Felix Jones active (2:53 p.m. ET): Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that RB Felix Jones (shoulder, probable) is active. The focal point of the Cowboys' offense might be the pass this week, but Jones remains involved in that, so he's worth having in there as a No. 2 fantasy option.

Tony Romo active (2:53 p.m. ET): Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that QB Tony Romo (ribs, probable) is active. He's a top-five quarterback play facing the mediocre Patriots pass defense.

Sammie Stroughter inactive (2:51 p.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Sammie Stroughter (foot, out) is inactive.

LeGarrette Blount inactive (2:51 p.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that RB LeGarrette Blount (knee, doubtful) is inactive. Expect Earnest Graham to get the start, making him a No. 2/flex option who is a bit more attractive in PPR formats. Kregg Lumpkin should also see increased carries as the No. 2 man.

Aqib Talib active (2:51 p.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that CB Aqib Talib (knee, probable) is active.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis active (2:48 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe, questionable) is active. He's unlikely to play nearly as many snaps this week as last, what with Danny Woodhead also active, plus the prospect that this could quickly develop into a shoot-out. Still, "Lawfirm" remains involved enough to be a useful No. 2 back. Just don't expect a run at a week-topping score.

Aaron Hernandez active (2:48 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that TE Aaron Hernandez (knee, questionable) is active. He was the Patriots' go-to tight end last week, but the truth is, the Patriots roll out both of their tight ends often enough that both are worth having in fantasy lineups.

Danny Woodhead active (2:48 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that RB Danny Woodhead (ankle, questionable) is active. He'll cut into BenJarvus Green-Ellis' workload, but probably not to the point where he'd be much more than a flex-play PPR option.

David Thomas inactive (2:44 p.m. ET): The New Orleans Saints' official Twitter feed reports that TE David Thomas (concussion, out) is inactive.

Devery Henderson active (2:44 p.m. ET): The New Orleans Saints' official Twitter feed reports that WR Devery Henderson (calf, probable) is active. His stock has fallen steeply in the past two weeks, and he's unlikely to see enough targets to be fantasy-worthy this week.

Lee Evans inactive (2:43 p.m. ET): ESPN's John Clayton reports that WR Lee Evans (ankle, out) is inactive for the Ravens. This is good news for Torrey Smith; he'll be a useful fill-in if you're in a pinch in a larger league.

Jason Campbell active (2:41 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that QB Jason Campbell (foot, probable) is active. Joe Haden's absence bumps Campbell's matchup up; he's still more of an option in two-quarterback leagues, however.

Louis Murphy active (2:41 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that WR Louis Murphy (groin, probable) is active. He's buried on the depth chart and doesn't warrant fantasy consideration.

Andre Johnson inactive (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Andre Johnson (hamstring, out) is inactive.

Joel Dreessen active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that TE Joel Dreessen (hip, probable) is active.

Jacoby Jones active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jacoby Jones (knee, probable) is active. He's more of an asset in return-yard leagues, but could warrant a look in standard scoring as well if you're in a pinch in deeper formats.

Ben Tate active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that RB Ben Tate (groin, probable) is active. He'll be Arian Foster's lightly used backup yet again, and shouldn't be in fantasy lineups.

Kevin Walter active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Kevin Walter (illness, probable) is active. He's worth using as a No. 3/4 while Andre Johnson is sidelined.

Derrick Ward active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that RB Derrick Ward (ankle, probable) is active. He'll be the No. 3 running back this week, meaning a non-factor in fantasy.

Arian Foster active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that RB Arian Foster (quadriceps, probable) is active. His matchup against the Ravens presents one of the more challenging ones he'll see this season, but he's a 20-plus-touch dynamo and therefore should get his stats somehow, be it runner or receiver. Keep him in there.

Matt Schaub active (2:38 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that QB Matt Schaub (right shoulder, probable) is active. No surprise here. He remains a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

Joe Haden inactive (2:33 p.m. ET): Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports that CB Joe Haden (knee, questionable) is inactive. Upgrade your Raiders wideouts accordingly, as this improves their matchups.

Josh Cribbs active (2:33 p.m. ET): Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports that WR Josh Cribbs (knee, questionable) is active. He's only an option in return-yards leagues.

Jason Avant active (11:52 a.m. ET): Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that WR Jason Avant (hip, probable) is active. Don't expect such outbursts from him on a week-to-week basis, as he's still third on the depth chart. Avant is a mere hail-mary play in fantasy.

Steve Smith active (11:52 a.m. ET): Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that WR Steve Smith (knee, probable) is active. He's fourth on the depth chart at this point, and not a worthy fantasy option this week.

Peyton Manning inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that QB Peyton Manning (neck, out) is inactive.

Joseph Addai inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that RB Joseph Addai (hamstring, questionable) is inactive. The Colts will go with a backfield-by-committee of sorts, with Delone Carter and Donald Brown the prominent partners. Carter's edge in the goal-line race makes him the more attractive plug-in, for those seeking bye-week replacements.

Kerry Collins inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that QB Kerry Collins (concussion, questionable) is inactive. Curtis Painter isn't merely the one-week fill-in starter; he has grabbed this job for himself for the foreseeable future. He's an improvement upon Collins, but still rates as a low-level No. 2 fantasy option (if that). Try to find better.

Jason Hill active (11:47 a.m. ET): The Jacksonville Jaguars' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jason Hill (thigh, probable) is active. Coming off that standout game, Hill might seem like a worthy pickup/plug-in, but remember that it was fueled by one big play resulting from blown coverage. Hill's matchup this week is dreadful; there are better deep sleepers this week.

Braylon Edwards inactive (11:45 a.m. ET): Mike Sando of ESPN's NFC West Blog reports that WR Braylon Edwards (knee, out) is inactive.

Ted Ginn active (11:45 a.m. ET): Mike Sando of ESPN's NFC West Blog reports that WR Ted Ginn (finger, probable) is active. The injury to Josh Morgan benefits Ginn most; he's the one who moves into the starting lineup as a result. That said, his skill set isn't an ideal fit to the offense, and he's more of a return-yardage play than one in standard scoring. Don't get your hopes up.

Michael Crabtree active (11:45 a.m. ET): Mike Sando of ESPN's NFC West Blog reports that WR Michael Crabtree (feet, probable) is active. He's now the 49ers' No. 1 wideout, and could see a noticeable boost in targets this week. The matchup caps his upside as more of a No. 3 option, but keep an eye on him.

Greg Jennings active (11:44 a.m. ET): The Green Bay Packers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Greg Jennings (groin, probable) is active. Not that there was any real worry. He's a top-10 fantasy option every week.

Anthony Armstrong inactive (11:40 a.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Anthony Armstrong (hamstring, questionable) is inactive.

Chris Cooley active (11:40 a.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that TE Chris Cooley (knee, questionable) is active. Fred Davis' owners might be frustrated by this, but Davis still appears to have a leg up in the targets race, so he's the one to use.

Tim Hightower active (11:40 a.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that RB Tim Hightower (shoulder, questionable) is active. Multiple reports have him earning the start, though "starter" status isn't always a meaningful thing, especially not in a Mike Shanahan backfield. Ryan Torain might yet get the bulk of the carries with Hightower serving as more of a passing-down back, but Hightower's active status and expected start does detract from Torain's appeal. I ranked Torain 13th this week; with this news I'd call him more like the No. 18 (or so) running back. But that's still an attractive option facing an excellent matchup; Hightower is especially appealing as a flex-play PPR option.

Tony Scheffler inactive (11:39 a.m. ET): Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that TE Tony Scheffler (concussion, out) is inactive. Scheffler's absence is a plus for Brandon Pettigrew because it means the latter's target total won't suffer. Regard Pettigrew a top-10 fantasy option at his position.

Rashied Davis active (11:39 a.m. ET): Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that WR Rashied Davis (foot, questionable) is active.

Julio Jones inactive (11:37 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Julio Jones (hamstring, out) is inactive. This was expected; Harry Douglas should get the start in his place. If you're in a pinch, Douglas is worth the pickup in larger leagues.

Donald Jones inactive (11:35 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that WR Donald Jones (ankle, out) is inactive. Naaman Roosevelt should step in as a slot receiver with David Nelson getting the start. Don't regard Nelson as much more than a No. 4 wideout this week.

Michael Hoomanawanui active (11:34 a.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that TE Michael Hoomanawanui (head, questionable) is active. He might see a spare target or three, but not nearly enough to be a recommended fantasy option.

Mike Sims-Walker inactive (11:31 a.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that WR Mike Sims-Walker is inactive. This is somewhat surprising; Sims-Walker had been one of the team's starters earlier this season and the "go-to" option -- if you could call any Rams receiver that -- of the team's wideouts in fantasy. This is a plus for players like Brandon Gibson and Danario Alexander, and if you're in a pinch, take a look at either. But considering the Rams' early-season struggles, don't expect any miracles.

Justin Tuck inactive (11:30 a.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that DE Justin Tuck (groin, out) is inactive.

Brandon Jacobs inactive (11:28 a.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that RB Brandon Jacobs (knee, out) is inactive. This was expected, but it's still fantastic news for Ahmad Bradshaw. He'll be the Giants' backfield workhorse going up against a soft Bills run defense. Consider him a borderline No. 1 option. Danny Ware will be the backup for a second consecutive week.
