Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Deion Branch active (14:55 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Deion Branch (hip, questionable) is active. This is a somewhat tougher matchup for him, as he's facing an improving Eagles pass defense that will have Nnamdi Asomugha in the lineup. Consider Branch only a No. 3/4 fantasy wide receiver.

Jeremy Maclin inactive (14:51 p.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, doubtful) is inactive. Riley Cooper is expected to start in his place, accordingly to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, but expect Cooper, Steve Smith and Jason Avant to divide up the targets in Maclin's absence.

Nnamdi Asomugha active (14:51 p.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that CB Nnamdi Asomugha (knee, questionable) is active.

Michael Vick inactive (14:51 p.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that QB Michael Vick (ribs, questionable) is inactive. Vince Young will start at quarterback, and he's a useful No. 2 option in two-quarterback leagues facing the Patriots' defense.

DeSean Jackson active (14:51 p.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that WR DeSean Jackson (foot, probable) is active. With Jeremy Maclin out, Jackson becomes Vince Young's A-number-one target this week. Expect a healthy number of targets against the Patriots' poor secondary, making him a borderline top-10 option.

Ryan Mathews active (14:46 p.m. ET): The San Diego Chargers' official Twitter feed reports that RB Ryan Mathews (knee, probable) is active. It has been hinted that he might not start and/or might take on a backup's role this week, so temper your expectations accordingly. He's more of a flex-play option, and one with a noticeable amount of risk. Mike Tolbert seems like the safer choice from the Chargers' backfield.

Devin Hester active (14:44 p.m. ET): The Chicago Bears' official Twitter feed reports that WR Devin Hester (shin, probable) is active. There have been reports, however, that Hester might be limited primarily to returns this week to account for his injury. Certainly, his owners should prepare for a more limited role.

Darrius Heyward-Bey active (14:43 p.m. ET): Paul Gutierrez of Comcast SportsNet California reports that WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (neck, questionable) is active. He's the Raiders' de facto No. 1 wide receiver what with Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore out. Though the matchup is a tough one, Heyward-Bey should be targeted often enough to be a No. 3/flex.

Denarius Moore inactive (14:41 p.m. ET): Paul Gutierrez of Comcast SportsNet California reports that WR Denarius Moore (foot, questionable) is inactive. This is the surprise absence for the Raiders; it also saps a lot of Carson Palmer's fantasy appeal because the matchup against the Bears was difficult enough as it is. Now, he'll have to make do without Moore or Jacoby Ford.

Sidney Rice active (14:40 p.m. ET): Mike Sando of ESPN's NFC West Blog reports that WR Sidney Rice (knee, probable) is active. Despite his missed practice time, Rice wasn't in serious jeopardy of sitting this one out. He's a useful No. 2/3 fantasy wide receiver.

Santana Moss active (14:39 p.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Santana Moss (hand, probable) is active. It's his first game since he initially suffered the injury, so it's unclear how quickly he'll be worked back to his clear No. 1 receiver role. Expect enough targets, however, for him to be a useful No. 2/3 fantasy option, being that the matchup is favorable.

Chad Ochocinco inactive (14:38 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Chad Ochocinco (hamstring, questionable) is inactive.

Montario Hardesty tweaks calf (12:53 p.m. ET): ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that RB Montario Hardesty (calf, questionable) tweaked his calf during pregame warmups. Peyton Hillis will now get the start and likely the bulk of the carries. Chris Ogbonnaya might see a decent share of work as the backup.

Matt Hasselbeck active (12:03 p.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that QB Matt Hasselbeck (right elbow, probable) is active. He's a high-end No. 2 fantasy quarterback, if you're either hurting at the position or play in a two-quarterback league.

Legedu Naanee active (12:01 p.m. ET): The Carolina Panthers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Legedu Naanee (ankle, questionable) is active. The matchup against the Colts is favorable on paper, but Naanee has been splitting targets with Brandon LaFell all year and therefore is only a hail-mary caliber option, more so in deeper leagues.

Danario Alexander inactive (12:00 p.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that WR Danario Alexander (hamstring, questionable) is inactive. Brandon Gibson will start again in his place, if you're digging deep in a PPR league.

Cadillac Williams inactive (12:00 p.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that RB Cadillac Williams (calf, questionable) is inactive.

Julio Jones active (11:58 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Julio Jones (hamstring, probable) is active. He's actually a potential No. 2 fantasy wide receiver this week, or at least his upside is certainly in that class going up against the Vikings. There's risk with Jones, however, so be prepared.

Jeremy Kerley inactive (11:57 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that KR Jeremy Kerley (knee, questionable) is inactive.

LaDainian Tomlinson inactive (11:57 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that RB LaDainian Tomlinson (knee, questionable) is inactive. Joe McKnight will serve as the Jets' backup running back this week, but a healthy Shonn Greene means minimal work. Look elsewhere.

Shonn Greene active (11:57 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that RB Shonn Greene (rib, probable) is active. He was upgraded to probable, a sure sign he'll start and get the bulk of the rushing work with LaDainian Tomlinson out. Consider him a high-end No. 2 fantasy running back.

Naaman Roosevelt inactive (11:56 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder, out) is inactive.

Rian Lindell inactive (11:55 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that K Rian Lindell (shoulder, out) is inactive. Dave Rayner will be the Bills' kicker for another week.

Joseph Addai active (11:53 a.m. ET): Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports that RB Joseph Addai (hamstring, questionable) is active, and will start. This is a real change; Donald Brown had been the Colts' starter before the bye but perhaps the week off helped Addai get closer to 100 percent. There should still be some sort of time share in the Colts' backfield, however, so while the matchup on paper is favorable enough to make Addai a flex-play consideration, don't get carried away with your expectations.

Todd Heap active (11:49 a.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that TE Todd Heap (hamstring, questionable) is active. The Cardinals don't involve their tight ends to any great extent in the offense, so regard Heap a poor choice even among No. 2 fantasy tight ends.

Kevin Kolb inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that QB Kevin Kolb (toe, questionable) is inactive. John Skelton gets another start in his place, in what's a favorable-on-paper matchup against the Rams. Considering he has been more bad than good all season, though, he's a risky play as anything more than a desperation No. 2 fantasy option in two-quarterback leagues.

Beanie Wells active (11:49 a.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that RB Beanie Wells (knee, probable) is active. His injuries have hampered his production lately, so regard his injury-report listing as confirmation that that might continue here. He's a No. 2 fantasy running back.

Adrian Peterson inactive (11:47 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that RB Adrian Peterson (ankle, doubtful) is inactive as expected. Toby Gerhart will get the start in his place, though it's coming against a solid Falcons run defense. Regard him only a flex-play consideration in deeper leagues.

Visanthe Shiancoe active (11:45 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that TE Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring, questionable) is active. That Kyle Rudolph is inactive for the Vikings is a plus for Shiancoe; it means a greater likelihood of targets among the team's tight ends. Still, Shiancoe is only a No. 2 fantasy tight end, if you league is deep enough for that to matter.

Kyle Rudolph inactive (11:45 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that TE Kyle Rudolph (quadriceps, doubtful) is inactive.

Percy Harvin active (11:44 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that WR Percy Harvin (ribs, questionable) is active. In addition to his usual receiving chores, he'll likely be the Vikings' change-of-pace running back, greatly increasing his prospects of double-digit touches. Consider him a No. 2 fantasy wide receiver.

Andre Johnson active (11:42 a.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Andre Johnson (hamstring, probable) is active. He'll face a Jaguars defense that has done a fine job reining in the pass this season, but at the same time he's an elite receiver who rises above matchups. Consider him a low-end No. 1 fantasy wide receiver, any hesitation tied more to the lengthy absence than the matchup itself.

A.J. Green active (11:39 a.m. ET): The Cincinnati Bengals' official Twitter feed reports that WR A.J. Green (knee, probable) is active. His probable tag made it highly likely he'd play and most fantasy owners prepared as such; that said his matchup against Joe Haden is a tricky one. Regard him a mere low-end No. 2 fantasy wide receiver.

Montario Hardesty active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Cleveland Browns' official Twitter feed reports that RB Montario Hardesty (calf, questionable) is active. Meanwhile, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports that the Browns' starter at running back will be dictated by situation; that makes it terribly unclear who will get the bulk of the rushing work. The smart guess is that Hardesty will start, so if you must pick from this backfield, he's your best option. Prepare for unpredictability, however.

Peyton Hillis active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Cleveland Browns' official Twitter feed reports that RB Peyton Hillis (hamstring, questionable) is active.
