Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Jeremy Maclin active (7:22 p.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jeremy Maclin (hip, probable) is active. He practiced fully on Friday and shouldn't be limited for the week as a result. We ranked Maclin the No. 25 wideout for the week, though a case can be made he's a useful, low-level WR2.

Antrel Rolle active (7:22 p.m. ET): The New York Giants' official Twitter feed reports that S Antrel Rolle (knee, questionable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's No. 14 defensive back, so if you've waited this long to use him, keep him in there as a No. 2 option in IDP leagues.

Ahmad Bradshaw active (7:22 p.m. ET): The New York Giants' official Twitter feed reports that RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck, probable) is active. It's unclear how much of the rushing chores he'll handle, after Andre Brown performed so well in his absence. We prefer Brown for the week; Brown is our No. 21 running back, Bradshaw No. 25.

Greg Jennings active (3:16 p.m. ET): ESPN's John Clayton reports that WR Greg Jennings (groin, probable) is active for the Green Bay Packers. He has a favorable matchup against the Saints, and is our No. 12 wideout for the week.

Pierre Garcon active (3:00 p.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Pierre Garcon (foot, questionable) is active. His presence is a plus for Robert Griffin III and the Redskins' passing game, and it makes our No. 37 ranking of Garcon among wideouts perhaps a few spots too low (that was made accounting for injury risk). Consider Garcon a WR3/flex for the week, if you're lacking in alternatives.

Leonard Hankerson active (3:00 p.m. ET): The Washington Redskins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Leonard Hankerson (back, probable) is active. He'll be the team's No. 2 wideout with Aldrick Robinson inactive for Week 4. Hankerson is our No. 41 wideout for the week, so he's only a bye-week/desperation fill-in.

Reggie Bush active (2:50 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that RB Reggie Bush (knee, questionable) is active. We hope you were patient waiting on Bush; if so he's definitely worth the fantasy start. He's our No. 14 running back for the week, and understand that ranking was made accounting for any health risk involved.

Bernard Scott inactive (2:47 p.m. ET): The Cincinnati Bengals' official Twitter feed reports that RB Bernard Scott (ankle, questionable) is inactive. With Scott sidelined, Brian Leonard and Cedric Peerman will serve as BenJarvus Green-Ellis's backups this week. It's good news for the Lawfirm; we've ranked him our No. 11 running back for the week.

Michael Johnson active (2:47 p.m. ET): The Cincinnati Bengals' official Twitter feed reports that DE Michael Johnson (foot, probable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's 15th-ranked defensive lineman for the week, making him a clear No. 2 option in IDP formats.

Carlos Dunlap active (2:47 p.m. ET): The Cincinnati Bengals' official Twitter feed reports that DE Carlos Dunlap (knee, probable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's No. 24 defensive lineman for the week, making him only worth a look in deeper IDP leagues.

Darren McFadden active (2:44 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that RB Darren McFadden (shoulder, probable) is active. He's our No. 5 running back for the week, a workhorse back facing another favorable matchup. Expect him to remain heavily involved, absorbing a healthy number of touches.

Sebastian Janikowski active (2:44 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that K Sebastian Janikowski (left groin, probable) is active. Janikowski was never any risk to sit this one out, not with any alternatives on the Raiders' roster. Keep him in there.

Mike Goodson active (2:44 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that RB Mike Goodson (hamstring, questionable) is active. He'll serve as one of Darren McFadden's backups, serving as a change-of-pace back at best. No fantasy value.

Brandon Myers active (2:44 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that TE Brandon Myers (concussion, questionable) is active. His is the most surprising of the Raiders' actives for Week 4, as he had a questionable tag and looked like a legitimate risk to sit. We've ranked Myers 23rd, and still have concern about how healthy he is.

Jacob Tamme active (2:41 p.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that TE Jacob Tamme (groin, probable) is active. He's our No. 14 tight end for the week, despite what is a favorable matchup for the Broncos passing game, because we see the wideouts doing more of the damage against the soft Raiders secondary.

Willis McGahee active (2:41 p.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that RB Willis McGahee (ribs, probable) is active. He's active while Knowshon Moreno is a healthy scratch for a second consecutive week. It appears that, after some question about his status earlier in the week, McGahee is ready to handle a starter's workload. We ranked him 27th for the week, but would probably bump him to clear flex-play status now.

Todd Heap inactive (2:36 p.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that TE Todd Heap (knee, doubtful) is inactive. He's no longer the fantasy asset he was a half-decade ago, and plays in an offense not terribly reliant upon tight ends in the passing game. Heap doesn't have a place on fantasy rosters.

John Skelton inactive (2:36 p.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that QB John Skelton (ankle, questionable) is inactive. Kevin Kolb gets another start at quarterback, against a Dolphins team far more susceptible to the pass than the run. We ranked Kolb 22nd accounting for his questionable skills, but that's still a bye-week fill-in for two-quarterback leagues.

LaRod Stephens-Howling inactive (2:34 p.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (hip, doubtful) is inactive. This puts a heavy workload on Ryan Williams's legs, not that his matchup against the Dolphins is especially favorable. Starting him in fantasy is leaning on volume of work; it's why we ranked him 24th among running backs, a clear flex-play consideration.

Dexter McCluster active (12:12 p.m. ET): The Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter feed reports that WR Dexter McCluster (elbow, questionable) is active. He'll probably be worked in on a limited basis in his first game back from injury, and McCluster's role was limited enough in the first place. Keep him reserved if you own him in larger leagues.

Nate Kaeding inactive (12:11 p.m. ET): The San Diego Chargers' official Twitter feed reports that K Nate Kaeding (groin, questionable) is inactive. He was downgraded to "out" on Saturday, but we remind you Kaeding's absence nevertheless. Nick Novak has been signed to serve as the Chargers' kicker this week.

Shane Vereen active (12:10 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that RB Shane Vereen (foot, questionable) is active. He'll serve as a backup behind Stevan Ridley and Danny Woodhead, but remember, this is the Patriots, annually unpredictable with doling out carries. Vereen warrants a roster stash now that he's finally healthy, but he's a no-go as a Week 4 fantasy starter. Expect minimal work ... though with this team you never truly know.

Patrick Willis active (12:06 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that LB Patrick Willis (ankle, probable) is active. He's a clear-cut, every-week IDP play, and Jim McCormick has ranked Willis his No. 8 linebacker for the week accordingly.

Vernon Davis active (12:06 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that TE Vernon Davis (back, probable) is active. Davis has been the standout in the 49ers' passing attack thus far, and he should remain so against the Jets secondary, which suffered a key loss in the past week in Darrelle Revis.

Julio Jones active (12:05 p.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Julio Jones (hand, probable) is active. There was never really any chance he'd sit, and we've ranked him with confidence as our No. 5 wideout for the week against a struggling Panthers secondary.

Stephen Nicholas active (12:05 p.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that LB Stephen Nicholas (thigh, probable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's No. 29 linebacker for the week, meaning he's only worth your consideration in deep IDP formats.

Jonathan Stewart active (12:03 p.m. ET): The Carolina Panthers' official Twitter feed reports that RB Jonathan Stewart (toe, probable) is active. The Panthers' rushing attack looked better in Week 2, Stewart's healthy week, than it did in Weeks 1 or 3, when Stewart sat. That said, he's still likely to assume a secondary role in the running game, so consider him a weak flex play at best.

Jon Beason active (12:03 p.m. ET): The Carolina Panthers' official Twitter feed reports that LB Jon Beason (shoulder, questionable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's No. 20 linebacker for the week, meaning he warrants consideration as a No. 2 option in IDP formats.

Matthew Stafford active (12:01 p.m. ET): Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that QB Matthew Stafford (hip, probable) is active for the Detroit Lions. Stafford matches up nicely facing a Vikings defense weakest in the secondary. Our ranking of him -- eighth at his position -- accounts for the injury risk that landed him on the week's report to begin with, but now that he's cleared to play, we're on board with him still belonging in your lineup.

Calvin Johnson active (12:01 p.m. ET): Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that WR Calvin Johnson (ankle, probable) is active for the Detroit Lions. He's an obvious fantasy play in any week in which he's active.

Titus Young active (12:01 p.m. ET): Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that WR Titus Young (knee, probable) is active for the Detroit Lions. Don't read too much into Young's standout Week 3 fantasy point total; it was fueled by one fluky hail-mary catch. Young is more of a WR4/5, and we've ranked him as such for the week, 41st among wideouts.

Arian Foster active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that RB Arian Foster (knee, probable) is active. He was never any threat to sit, and is a clear-cut fantasy stud in any week he's healthy. We ranked Foster No. 1 at his position accordingly.

Andre Johnson active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Andre Johnson (groin, probable) is active. What a matchup this one is; the Titans have been reeling against the pass all year. That's good news for Johnson, because the Texans have been one of the most run-friendly offenses in football through three weeks. Perhaps this is a week he steps up his production?

Matt Schaub active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that QB Matt Schaub (left shoulder, probable) is active. If there's any matchup in which to use Schaub, it's against the Titans, one of the worst pass defenses in football. Consider him a solid, high-end QB2; we've ranked him 13th for the week.

Peyton Hillis inactive (11:57 a.m. ET): The Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter feed reports that RB Peyton Hillis (ankle, doubtful) is inactive. No surprise here; he was listed as doubtful. It's still outstanding news for Jamaal Charles, however, being that Charles has the backfield mostly to himself. No major worries that Charles will have his workload significantly altered coming off his heavily used Week 3, though Shaun Draughn will probably get a few carries in a change-of-pace capacity.

Dwayne Bowe active (11:51 a.m. ET): The Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter feed reports that WR Dwayne Bowe (groin, questionable) is active. He's probably playing at less than 100 percent plus is battling a Chiefs secondary off to a decent start. We ranked Bowe the No. 18 fantasy wideout for the week accordingly, but that's still a WR2.

Dustin Keller inactive (11:51 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that TE Dustin Keller (hamstring, questionable) is inactive. He didn't look especially likely to play this week, and in his limited action to date in 2012 he has hardly earned his fantasy owners' trust. Look elsewhere for a tight end fill-in; it's a deep enough position that there are plenty of alternatives.

Steven Jackson active (11:51 a.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that RB Steven Jackson (groin, questionable) is active. He continues to play through injuries, and the result on his statistics show. Couple that with an unattractive matchup and some hesitation is warranted. We ranked Jackson 32nd among running backs for the week.

Mikel Leshoure active (11:51 a.m. ET): ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that RB Mikel Leshoure (groin, questionable) is active for the Detroit Lions. He's likely to have his workload more closely managed this week, after such a hefty amount of work in his NFL debut in Week 3. It's also an unattractive matchup against the Vikings, whose strength is against the run. We ranked Leshoure the No. 19 running back for the week, which is low-end RB2 value.

Jared Cook active (11:51 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that TE Jared Cook (shoulder, questionable) is active. The injury question, coupled with his lackluster matchup against the Texans, makes Cook a so-so fantasy option at best. We ranked him 16th for the week, meaning he's only an option in a deep league.

Kenny Britt inactive (11:51 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Kenny Britt (ankle, questionable) is inactive. This one's a bit of a surprise. Britt's matchup wasn't especially favorable nor has he really made his mark this year in fantasy. But if you had him on your team, take a look at a wideout from a different game as a sub.

Rob Gronkowski active (11:51 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that TE Rob Gronkowski (hip, questionable) is active. Don't sweat that questionable tag, as the Patriots toss it about freely, always have in the Bill Belichick era. What matters is Gronkowski's career history against the Bills: Four games, 7 TDs, 22 catches, 78.5 receiving yards per contest.

Fred Jackson active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that RB Fred Jackson (knee, questionable) is active. He practiced a fair share late in the week and should get the start and the bulk of the carries this week. The problem: C.J. Spiller is also active, meaning a split of the work, to some degree, needs be expected. Jackson is the back who seems closer to full health this week, so look at him as the flex-play of the two. But he's more flex play than RB2.

C.J. Spiller active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that RB C.J. Spiller (shoulder, questionable) is active. Well this is somewhat a surprise. Spiller was expected to be absent this week, but perhaps this signals his ability to garner a few touches in a backup role to Fred Jackson. We'd advise a wait-and-see approach.

Christian Ponder active (11:33 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that QB Christian Ponder (neck, probable) is active. He's off to a hot start, with impressive accuracy especially in the short game. Ponder's fantasy upside remains that of a QB2 -- and we've ranked him accordingly, at 19th at his position -- but he's certainly in the conversation in two-quarterback leagues or if you're in a bye-week pinch.

Jared Allen active (11:33 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that DE Jared Allen (neck, probable) is active. He's Jim McCormick's No. 3 defensive lineman for the week, so Allen warrants a spot in any IDP lineup.

Kyle Rudolph active (11:33 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that TE Kyle Rudolph (quadriceps, probable) is active. Rudolph is one of the reasons the Vikings have performed as well as they have via the pass thus far. A burgeoning fantasy star, we've ranked him a top-10 option (ninth) among tight ends for the week.
