Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Alshon Jeffery inactive (7:13 p.m. ET): ESPNChicago.com's Michael C. Wright reports that WR Alshon Jeffery (hand, doubtful) is inactive for the Chicago Bears. He was highly unlikely to play, having been listed as doubtful. With Jeffery out the past couple weeks, Earl Bennett has been serving as the Bears' No. 2 wide receiver, albeit with a modest eight fantasy points total in his past three games. Bennett is a mere hail-mary play if you're hurting at the position, and not recommended facing a defense like Houston's.

Owen Daniels inactive (7:07 p.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that TE Owen Daniels (back, questionable) is inactive for the Houston Texans. Unfortunately, Daniels owners who waited this long on his game-time decision suffer some bad luck, as apparently he was unable to go after warmups. James Casey should see more targets in Daniels' place; see if Casey is out there if you're now stuck with an open lineup spot. Garrett Graham is expected to get the start, and would be your next desperation fill-in option.

Chris Givens inactive (3:06 p.m. ET): Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that WR Chris Givens' deactivation is a result of his having violated a team rule. Well, at least that's a logical explanation for the surprise inactive, meaning Givens' owners in deeper leagues shouldn't be so hasty to cut him assuming it was sign his role was diminishing.

Felix Jones active (3:04 p.m. ET): Dan Graziano of ESPN's NFC East blog reports that RB Felix Jones (knee, probable) is active for the Dallas Cowboys. As DeMarco Murray's stand-in the past three weeks, Jones has totaled 22 fantasy points and averaged 2.8 yards per carry. Granted, the Cowboys lack a strong alternative, as Phillip Tanner's carries have gone from 13 to 2 to 1 during that span, but keep tabs on Lance Dunbar, who might steal some of Jones' thunder after a 26-yards-on-8-carries Week 9. We ranked Jones 24th among running backs, meaning he's a clear flex option at best.

Dez Bryant active (3:04 p.m. ET): Dan Graziano of ESPN's NFC East blog reports that WR Dez Bryant (hip, probable) is active for the Dallas Cowboys. Bryant's miserable Week 9 -- one catch in a game where he was a game-time decision -- might have his fantasy owners worrying. That said, the Eagles have struggled defending wide receivers of late, affording 69 points to the position in their past three games. We ranked Bryant 22nd among wideouts, mostly because of his up-and-down weekly performances rather than this matchup.

LeSean McCoy active (2:56 p.m. ET): Dan Graziano of ESPN's NFC East blog reports that RB LeSean McCoy (illness, probable) is active for the Philadelphia Eagles. McCoy is our No. 7 running back for Week 10, going up against a Cowboys defense that has allowed a rushing score in each of the past four weeks, and 68 fantasy points total to running backs during that span.

Chris Givens inactive (2:54 p.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that WR Chris Givens is inactive. Odd. Givens wasn't on the Rams' injury report, so this appears to be a healthy scratch, presumably a product of Danny Amendola's healthy return.

Alex Smith active (2:54 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that QB Alex Smith (right finger, probable) is active. Smith might be tasked with throwing more often than usual against a Rams team easier to exploit via the air than run. Still, his erratic recent performance -- 4 TDs, 4 interceptions in his past three games -- easily explains his No. 19 ranking for Week 10.

Patrick Willis active (2:54 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that LB Patrick Willis (shoulder, probable) is active for the San Francisco 49ers. Willis is a no-brainer of an IDP option, checking in as the No. 8 linebacker in Jim McCormick's rankings for Week 10.

Frank Gore active (2:54 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that RB Frank Gore (hand, probable) is active for the San Francisco 49ers. Gore's matchup isn't especially attractive, but the bye week's rest should have him up to the task of a starter's hefty workload. He's our No. 9 running back for Week 10.

Michael Crabtree active (2:54 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Michael Crabtree (illness, probable) is active for the San Francisco 49ers. Crabtree had his two best fantasy games of 2012 in his four appearances before the Week 9 bye, and now he faces a Rams team that has allowed 6 TDs to opposing wide receivers in their past three games. We ranked Crabtree 31st for Week 10.

Danny Amendola active (2:52 p.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that WR Danny Amendola (shoulder, questionable) is active for the St. Louis Rams. Well, he's active after a three-game absence, at least, but this isn't a particularly attractive matchup against a 49ers defense affording the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. If there's any silver lining, it's that the 49ers have allowed 104 catches to the position, 11th-most in the league, and Amendola's strength is a healthy volume of catches rather than his per-catch potential. He's our No. 34 wide receiver for Week 10, accounting his injury recovery and the matchup.

Bilal Powell active (2:49 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that RB Bilal Powell (shoulder, questionable) is active for the New York Jets. Powell was expected to play this week with news that Joe McKnight (ankle) would sit. Expect Powell to serve in a backup capacity, as more of a change-of-pace back than a meaningful fantasy option.

K.J. Wright inactive (2:39 p.m. ET): The Seattle Seahawks' official Twitter feed reports that LB K.J. Wright (concussion, out) is inactive.

Marshawn Lynch active (2:39 p.m. ET): The Seattle Seahawks' official Twitter feed reports that RB Marshawn Lynch (back, probable) is active for the Seattle Seahawks. Lynch has routinely been listed as probable on the injury report, yet he has three consecutive 100-yard rushing efforts and 47 total fantasy points in those contests. He should be kept active in all leagues against the Jets, who have afforded the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

Kam Chancellor active (2:39 p.m. ET): The Seattle Seahawks' official Twitter feed reports that S Kam Chancellor (quadriceps, probable) is active for the Seattle Seahawks. Chancellor is one of the better defensive backs in IDP leagues, and he earned Jim McCormick's No. 6 ranking at the position for Week 10.

Mark Sanchez active (2:37 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that QB Mark Sanchez (back, probable) is active. We ranked 26 quarterbacks for Sunday -- four teams are on bye and two others played Thursday -- and Sanchez ranked 25th. Not that you'd expect any different; Sanchez hasn't had more than 13 fantasy points in a game since Week 1 and the Seahawks have allowed only two games of more than 13 fantasy points all year (Weeks 6 and 8, to Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford).

Jeremy Kerley active (2:37 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jeremy Kerley (heel, probable) is active for the New York Jets. Kerley, and the Jets' offense as a whole, has his work cut out for him against the stingy Seahawks. He's Mark Sanchez's most trusted target, but at an average of 6.4 targets per game. Understandably, we ranked Kerley 37th for Week 10.

LaRon Landry active (2:37 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that S LaRon Landry (heel, probable) is active for the New York Jets. Landry is Jim McCormick's No. 29 defensive back for Week 10

Hakeem Nicks active (12:12 p.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that WR Hakeem Nicks (knee, probable) is active for the New York Giants. There is reportedly a chance that Nicks will receive the more favorable matchup of the Giants' two wide receivers -- he'd be matched up with Terence Newman, Victor Cruz with Leon Hall -- so don't be shocked if our No. 29 ranking of him among wideouts is too low. Certainly regard him as a high-upside WR3.

Andre Brown active (12:12 p.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that RB Andre Brown (shoulder, probable) is active for the New York Giants. Brown might take on the goal-line chores, what with Ahmad Bradshaw's foot still limiting him. That touchdown potential alone explains Brown's No. 32 running back ranking.

Marcel Reece active (12:09 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that RB Marcel Reece (hamstring, probable) is active. Reece should play all passing downs and might even take on a healthy share of the rushing workload. He's the "safer" option of the Raiders' top two backs -- Taiwan Jones is the higher-upside back -- and we ranked Reece 29th among running backs, putting him in the flex class.

Brandon Myers active (12:09 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that TE Brandon Myers (shoulder, probable) is active for the Oakland Raiders. Myers is our No. 11 tight end for the week, as we figure the team will lean more on the pass this week with Darren McFadden sidelined.

Sebastian Janikowski active (12:09 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that K Sebastian Janikowski (left groin, probable) is active for the Oakland Raiders. Janikowski is our No. 5 kicker for Week 10.

Matt Shaughnessy active (12:09 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that DE Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder, probable) is active for the Oakland Raiders. Shaughnessy is Jim McCormick's No. 28 defensive lineman for Week 10.

Jerod Mayo active (12:08 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that LB Jerod Mayo (elbow, questionable) is active for the New England Patriots. Mayo is Jim McCormick's No. 11 linebacker for Week 10, making him a strong IDP option despite his questionable tag. Remember, the Patriots are generous doling those tags out, so don't fret.

C.J. Spiller active (12:06 p.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that RB C.J. Spiller (shoulder, probable) is active for the Buffalo Bills. At some point, the Bills seem likely to increase Spiller's workload, considering how dynamic a talent he has been in limited action. We ranked him 17th for the week because of the share of touches with Fred Jackson.

Mario Williams active (12:06 p.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that DE Mario Williams (wrist, probable) is active for the Buffalo Bills. Williams is Jim McCormick's No. 17 defensive lineman for the week.

Karlos Dansby active (12:04 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that LB Karlos Dansby (biceps, probable) is active. Dansby is Jim McCormick's No. 9 linebacker for Week 10.

Nolan Carroll active (12:04 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that CB Nolan Carroll (knee, probable) is active for the Miami Dolphins. Carroll is Jim McCormick's No. 26 defensive back for Week 10.

Ryan Tannehill active (12:04 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that QB Ryan Tannehill (knee, probable) is active for the Miami Dolphins. Tannehill had a respectable enough Week 9 -- 15 fantasy points -- despite pregame concerns that he might not last the full contest. His injury should therefore be of somewhat less concern here, and his matchup is a favorable one. We ranked him 17th, making him a viable fill-in or starter in two-quarterback leagues.

Brian Hartline active (12:04 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Brian Hartline (hamstring, probable) is active for the Miami Dolphins. Hartline had 10 fantasy points despite injury concerns in Week 9, so don't sweat the injury report listing this week (which was probable at that). He matches up nicely against the Titans and could be a sleeper; we ranked him 25th for the week.

Kendall Wright active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Kendall Wright (elbow, probable) is active. With Jake Locker back at quarterback, Wright's fantasy value seems to take a hit. He was most productive on shorter routes working with Matt Hasselbeck, and until we get a read on his place with Locker, we'll rank him conservatively -- 41st for Week 10.

Alterraun Verner active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that CB Alterraun Verner (thigh, probable) is active for the Tennessee Titans. Verner is Jim McCormick's No. 24 defensive back for Week 10.

Nate Washington active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Nate Washington (illness, probable) is active for the Tennessee Titans. Washington is our No. 36 wide receiver for the week, even facing a favorable matchup on paper against the Dolphins.

Kenny Britt active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Kenny Britt (knee, probable) is active for the Tennessee Titans. With Jake Locker back under center, Britt's fantasy appeal might rise in the coming weeks. He has a strong matchup here against a Dolphins defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, but until we get a read on how crisp Locker's passes, we're ranking Britt conservatively. He's our top-ranked Titans wideout, at 28th.

Jake Locker active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that QB Jake Locker (left shoulder, probable) is active for the Tennessee Titans. Locker gets the start this week, and he'll be facing a Dolphins defense easier to attack via the air than pass. After so much missed time, however, we'd prefer to keep him on the fantasy sidelines for evaluation purposes, ranking him 21st.

Colin McCarthy active (11:59 a.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that LB Colin McCarthy (ankle, questionable) is active for the Tennessee Titans. McCarthy is Jim McCormick's No. 13 linebacker for Week 10.

Mike Williams active (11:55 a.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Mike Williams (forearm, probable) is active. Williams has been a sensation this season, restoring his stock to the WR2 levels. Though this matchup is a tougher one than usual -- the Chargers allowed 13 fantasy points combined to wide receivers the past two weeks -- keep in mind the caliber (or lack thereof) of talent they were facing in those games. This defense was slaughtered before the bye, and the Bucs' offense is rolling. We ranked Williams our No. 16 wideout for Week 10, figuring he'll be up to the task.

Michael Bennett active (11:55 a.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that DE Michael Bennett (shoulder, probable) is active for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bennett is Jim McCormick's No. 12 defensive lineman for Week 10.

Charles Johnson active (11:52 a.m. ET): The Carolina Panthers' official Twitter feed reports that DE Charles Johnson (hip, probable) is active. Johnson is Jim McCormick's No. 8 defensive lineman for Week 10.

Mike Tolbert active (11:52 a.m. ET): The Carolina Panthers' official Twitter feed reports that RB Mike Tolbert (head, probable) is active for the Carolina Panthers. Tolbert's only prayer of fantasy relevance from week to week is a goal-line plunge for a touchdown. Though we ranked him 50th, keep in mind much of that is because four teams are on bye, while two have already played (and therefore have been removed from the rankings).

Eric Decker active (11:51 a.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that WR Eric Decker (thigh, probable) is active. Decker is our No. 12 wide receiver for Week 10, thanks to a consistently healthy number of targets/receptions each week.

Willis McGahee active (11:51 a.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that RB Willis McGahee (knee, probable) is active for the Denver Broncos. McGahee checks in our No. 8 running back for Week 10, going up against a Panthers run defense allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Though in the Panthers' defense, they've afforded only 41 points to the position the past three weeks combined, putting them closer to the middle of the pack.

Demaryius Thomas active (11:51 a.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that WR Demaryius Thomas (knee, probable) is active for the Denver Broncos. The Panthers' defensive strength is against the pass, and they match up well against Peyton Manning, but at the same time this team hasn't faced many quarterbacks of his stature. Better wideouts have beaten this defense deep, and Thomas certainly qualifies. He's our No. 10 wideout for Week 10.

Ed Reed active (11:46 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that S Ed Reed (shoulder, probable) is active. Reed is Jim McCormick's No. 30 defensive back for Week 10.

Terrell Suggs active (11:46 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that LB Terrell Suggs (ankle, probable) is active for the Baltimore Ravens. Suggs is Jim McCormick's No. 29 linebacker for Week 10, making him a lower-end option in IDP formats.

Bernard Pollard active (11:46 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that S Bernard Pollard (chest, probable) is active for the Baltimore Ravens. Pollard is Jim McCormick's No. 9 defensive back for Week 10.

Percy Harvin inactive (11:37 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that WR Percy Harvin (ankle, doubtful) is inactive for the Minnesota Vikings. Again, this is confirmation of Adam Schefter's previous report.

Titus Young active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Detroit Lions' official Twitter feed reports that WR Titus Young (knee, questionable) is active for the Detroit Lions. For once, Young's questionable tag is troublesome, as he was a mere limited practice participant on Friday. He's healthy enough to play, apparently, but he also had a two-catch, two-point Week 9 while Calvin Johnson did most of the damage. We ranked Young our No. 35 wide receiver and stick by it considering the injury risk,

Calvin Johnson active (11:36 a.m. ET): The Detroit Lions' official Twitter feed reports that WR Calvin Johnson (knee, questionable) is active for the Detroit Lions. We present as evidence backing up Johnson's No. 4 ranking among wide receivers: his 129-yard, 12-point Week 9, in a game where he was supposedly to be limited to a "third-down role." Johnson is a tremendous talent capable of beating up the Vikings secondary even at less than full strength.

Aaron Hernandez inactive (11:33 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle, questionable) is inactive for the New England Patriots. This confirms Adam Schefter's previous report.

Wes Welker active (11:32 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Wes Welker (ankle, questionable) is active. Welker managed a nine-catch, 129-yard, 10-point fantasy day against the Bills, and as usual matches up excellently against their porous defense. He's our No. 6 wide receiver for Week 10.

Rob Gronkowski active (11:32 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that TE Rob Gronkowski (hip, questionable) is active for the New England Patriots. There was never a hint that he'd sit, and with Aaron Hernandez out, Gronkowski will take on a heavy load in this game. He's our No. 1 tight end for Week 10.

Brandon Lloyd active (11:32 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Brandon Lloyd (knee, questionable) is active for the New England Patriots. As usual, the Patriots listed a slew of players as questionable, only to see them active on Sunday. Shocking. Lloyd's fantasy owners should never have been genuinely worried; much of this is injury report shenanigans and the remainder is the team providing rest for individual players during midweek practice sessions. There's no reason to downgrade Lloyd accounting for injury, and we ranked him 14th among wideouts for the week. Remember, he had 11 fantasy points, his second-best total of 2012, in Week 4 against these Bills.

Steve Johnson active (11:29 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that WR Steve Johnson (thigh, questionable) is active for the Buffalo Bills. He had previously declared there was "no doubt" he was going to play, so his fantasy owners shouldn't have been sweating the questionable tag. Now that Johnson is officially active, his owners can slot him in as a WR2; we ranked him 18th at the position for the week. Expect him to be more involved in the rematch with the Patriots than in his two-catch, two-point Week 4.

Ahmad Bradshaw active (11:27 a.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot, questionable) is active for the New York Giants. He continues to play through his injury, though he has nine fantasy points combined the past two weeks and has averaged 16 carries per game in his past three. Bradshaw's foot issue is having an adverse impact upon his production, and as such, we rank him our No. 16 running back for Week 10.

Percy Harvin will not play (10:53 a.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Percy Harvin (ankle, doubtful) is will not play for the Minnesota Vikings. Schefter reported at approximately 8 p.m. ET Saturday that Harvin "will not play," confirming what fantasy owners had been expecting all week. Harvin had displayed a considerable limp throughout the practice week, after having returned to his Week 9 game despite being less than 100 percent. With Harvin out, Jerome Simpson should see a few additional targets, if you're in a pinch and need a flex option.

Aaron Hernandez not expected to play (10:48 a.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle, questionable) is not expected to play for the New England Patriots. Schefter's report came at about 7 p.m. ET Saturday night; Hernandez's owners should be searching for alternatives with only a couple hours before kickoffs. With Hernandez out, Visanthe Shiancoe will likely be active, though neither he, Daniel Fells nor Michael Hoomanawanui should be significant factors in the passing game, leaving Rob Gronkowski to dominate targets at the position. It's only further confirmation that Gronkowski deserved our No. 1 ranking among tight ends.
