As a League Manager, how can I keep my league's data and retroactively manage the rosters after the reset?

  • Every player will have access to view a snapshot of their own roster, and the rosters of every other team in their league, as those rosters appeared at 8 p.m., April 11th. This snapshot can be accessed via a link in the upper right corner of the league office.
  • League managers ARE able to manually edit/add to rosters using the "Edit Rosters" tool under the "LM Tools" tab.
  • Roster changes made by league managers will only affect game play moving forward and are not applied retroactively.
  • Unfortunately, the transaction data from before rosters were reset is now gone.

If I kept track of all of my transactions and stats, can ESPN retroactively return my league to where it was before the reset?

  • ESPN cannot, however League Managers of custom leagues ARE able to manually edit/add to rosters using the "Edit Rosters" tool under "LM Tools" Tab.
  • This includes adding and dropping players from rosters and manually implementing trades.

Will the transaction logs be wiped out?

  • We apologize, but original transaction logs (April 1-11) will not be available after the reset.
  • Every player will have access to view a snapshot of their own roster, and the rosters of every other team in their league, as those rosters appeared at 8 p.m., April 11th. This snapshot can be accessed via a link in the upper right corner of the league office.

Why did ESPN have to take such a drastic measure? My league was fine. Why couldn't ESPN just fix the leagues with problems, not all leagues?

  • The problems were with data processes
  • Problems has already affected a large majority of leagues -- in different ways and at varying levels of severity.
  • In troubleshooting and testing we found cases where problems appeared minor and may not have been apparent.
  • It is nearly certain that if left alone, the problems would compound and affect your league later in the season.

Why isn't ESPN starting the season effective tomorrow instead of including stats from the last eleven days?

  • Many scenarios were considered, but this provided the most equitable solution for all of our players.

I'm a League Manager, how can I tell when the problems began affecting MY league?

  • That cannot be pin pointed. Leagues may have been affected at different times, and you may not have even recognized early issues.
  • This is at the core of the reason that it was necessary to take the measures we did.

I made a trade, and now - with hindsight - the team won't make the trade again. What can I do?

  • Frustration around this topic is certainly warranted, and again - we are truly sorry you have to deal with this at all.
  • However, if you are in a customized league, your League Manager has the ability to re-enact past trades, and can handle the issue as he and the rest of your league see fit.
  • If you are in a standard league, we suggest that it may be useful to use ESPN's league communication tools (league message boards and league email) to discuss the issue with other members and come to consensus on how to handle such issues fairly.

Can my league adjust scoring and put the scores back to where they are today after the rosters are changed back?

  • If you are in a custom league that is head-to-head, points-based scoring, your league manager can adjust scoring manually for each individual match up.
  • If you are in a league that scores based on roto stats, unfortunately there is not a way to manually adjust the scoring. We recognize the problems this creates and are tremendously sorry.
