Only sub-par round in stroke-play qualifying gives Creekmore the win

TULSA, Okla. -- Carolyn Creekmore shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday for a three-stroke victory in stroke-play qualifying for the USGA Senior Women's Amateur.

The 56-year-old Creekmore, from Dallas, had an even-par 142 total on the Tulsa Country Club course to top the 64 match-play qualifiers.

Creekmore, the 2004 champion, had nine one-putts and made four birdies on her last nine holes en route to the only sub-par round in the 50-and-over championship on the 5,760-yard course that was the ...
