Rory McIlroy shot 80 (+9) in the 1st round of the EGA event this morning, his 1st time shooting 80 since the final round of 2011 Masters.

Rory shoots 80 in Irish Open start

The last time McIlroy shot 80 in an official event was the final round of the 2011 Masters. He entered that Sunday at Augusta leading the tournament and 12-under par, but after his final round 80 he finished tied for 15th.
