Hole 11

The skinny:
This is where chairman Hootie Johnson saw Phil Mickelson hit wedge into the green in 2001 and knew the lengthening of Augusta was the right move. Amen Corner starts here. A pond guards the green to the left and a bunker is to the back right. Most bail out to a swale short and right of the green. The tee was moved back 35 yards and to the left 5 yards last year.

Vijay Singh's analysis:
This is a weird hole. You used to try to hit a fade. Now it's dead straight. You're hitting into a slope instead of down the slope. If I hit a good drive, I had a wedge to a front pin. Now it's a 6-iron. It also brings the water into play more, because you have to go across part of it. Hogan's theory will be very good there. If I've hit the green, you'll know I pulled my shot.

How it played in 2002:
Eagles: 1 Birdies: 26 Pars: 174 Bogeys: 58 Double Bogeys: 6 Other: 0
