Tambellini earns first Nationwide win
BOISE, Idaho -- Roger Tambellini won the Boise Open for his first Nationwide Tour title, shooting a 3-under 68 on Sunday for a six-stroke victory over Tripp Isenhour and Charles Warren.
''This feels amazing,'' said Tambellini, a former Southern California player. ''To finally be able to do this for my family, hometown and all of those who have supported me is fantastic.''
Tambellini earned $108,000 to jump from 72nd to 18th on the money list with $157,143. The top 20 at the end of the season will earn 2004 PGA Tour cards.
Isenhour closed with a 64, and Warren shot a 70.
