Las Vegas Paiute Resort (Nu-Wav-Kaiv) 10325 Nu-Wav-Kaiv Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89124 (702) 658-1400 |
Beautifully backdropped by mountains, this Pete Dye design is clearly one of the better courses in the Las Vegas area. Interestingly, Dye's trademark railroad ties are laid out in Indian designs and the tee markers at the Nu-Wav-Kaiv course are yellow, black, white and red tortoises. The reason? Those are the four colors used on the Paiute sun-dance pole.
The course is located on the Paiute Reservation about 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and along with the other courses here helps make up the reservation's outer rim. Although water is scarce in the desert, it comes into play on the par-3 16th here.
