A benign nine-hole layout when it opened in 1963, Ocean Dunes has been transformed by architect Bill Robinson into a diabolical course that he calls "Leaves of Grass." Today, Ocean Dunes is a 6,100-yard torture chamber of wind, blind shots and narrow fairways that produces a sporty par 70 that plays through narrow sand dunes.

This true golf links, with the native plant materials such as scotch broom, wax myrtle, shore pines and native rhododendrons offers the golfers a memorable setting.

It also offers links-style pot bunkers and a double green that serves Nos. 11 and 15. The latter is a 324-yard par 4 that doglegs to the left and is protected by a pot bunker.
