Caledonia Golf and Fishing Club 369 Caledonia Drive Pawley's Island, SC 29585 843-237-3675 |
Few courses that measure just 6,500 yards play as tough as Caledonia Golf and Fish Club. The layout, sculpted from a tract of marshy terrain, requires accurate play off the tee and fairways. Still, despite its challenge, Caledonia is considered a must-play for those visiting the Myrtle Beach area.
Part of Caledonia's appeal is its impeccable appearance. Belying its public-access status, Caledonia boasts an entrance that some say rivals Augusta National's and an Antebellum clubhouse where you can sit on the porch and watch players finish their round-just some of the reasons the course was ranked No. 5 in the Best New Public Course category in 1995 by Golf Digest.
