Chateau Whistler Golf Club
4612 Blackcomb Way
Whistler, British Columbia V0N 1B4

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1993, the par 72, 18-hole course traverses creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas Firs and granite rock faces, which serve as constant reminders of the rugged terrain.

In fact, the course, located 70 miles north of Vancouver, plays alongside a broad mountain ledge before heading downhill on the course's closing holes. At various points on the course, the elevation changes are as drastic as 400 feet; making golf carts every bit as much required equipment as the 14 clubs in the bag.

Many players here often will play a late afternoon nine holes consisting of holes one through five and 14 through 18. That's too bad. No. 13, a 349-yard par 4, is one of the course's most delightful holes to play and look at.
